No Photo Day Almost

This is the tv room where Nathan goes and chills with the dogs and I watch tv in there when I can. I am going to start calling it a man cave or a man dog cave.

I had many baths to do today. Then I groomed those that didn't have baths. Every 2 hours I made sure all pups were feeding and here I sit. I tried getting Nathan to do photos but he had errands to do so I clicked the above. I am rather jealous as I wish I had chill time too but hey I get the most pup time. Tomorrow I got Yvonne coming with Truffie and baths to do so we will do as much as we can with the blogs.

Nora sat so nicely for her brush out. I was impressed. Cali was bathed and looked like a scallywag 5 minutes later. Oh well at least I know she is knot free and clean. hehe

I am, loving this camera. But I haven't had time to get it setup so I can see all 3. Perhaps tomorrow.

Freshly Dropped Snow

It's been a great and fun day. We had visitors. We had fun showing off the pups and we had brand new white snow. The dogs LOVE the white freshly dropped snow. Check out the gallery. Levon and Trigger departed - sniff sniff. It's been Logan and the gang. Logan was also playing his heart out today.

Jeannie has been doing some deep trimming of my trees... I see. Will I have a garden come spring?

The camera for the pups arrived today. Now Dennis has fun trying to set it up. That means he needs my computer. heh

Will this snow ever end?

Update Pups

Our subject line would read: Who is Training Who?

Max has learned to ring the bell to go outside and he is having a great time ringing it every 2 minutes just to see if we will open the door for him. We open it every time. Sometimes he goes out to poop or pee and he gets a treat, other times he just wants to run (he loves the fresh snow) and then other times he sits at the door and decides, nah, he'd rather stay inside.

Over the last few weeks we have had several visitors and Max has done a great job with meeting them. Both of our parents have been by several times and just love him. Yesterday we had a dinner for 7 adults and 7 children and he was very charming for the crowd. He is a little shy at first but then warms up pretty quickly. Next weekend he will meet most of the Honan family (Pat is oldest of 5, so there are 24 of us when we are all together) and our nieces and nephews are really excited to meet him.

Max is sleeping through the night, waking at about 7 am and is ready for full on play as soon as he wakes up. It is great, both our kids come into our room to play with him as soon as they wake up at the same time.

He is travelling very well in the car - we take him on small rides every few days. For March Break he will be travelling 3 hours up North to a cottage for 5 days so I hope he does well on a longer trip (with many breaks).

We start obedience training at the end of March (unfortunately not with Pippen and Matteo - they picked daytime classes which we cannot attend).

Other than that he is a wonderful and happy addition to our family and we cannot imagine life without him.

Take Care,
Michele and Pat

This is Pippin!

Hi Nathan and Darlah

So good to hear from you.  I have been watching your blogs and know how busy you have been with 12 pups so didn’t want to add to all the things you are doing.

Pippin is doing really well, we have settled into a routine that works for all of us.  She is still sleeping in the sherpa bag on our bed and goes to bed around 10 and wakes up when the alarm goes off at 7.  Never any issues at night.  I am thinking of transitioning her to the crate in the bedroom, we’ll see how she does.  Bottom line, i know she will sleep on our bed without the sherpa bag at some point.  I am just afraid she will fall off the bed during the night or have an accident.

Daytime training is going excellent, she occasionally uses the pee pad but ALWAYS goes outside when we take her (which is frequently when she is awake).  A few oops,  but not many and I know she will get better.

The only issue we have is with lead training.  For some reason when we put her on a lead she just freezes, won’t move at all.  If I let the lead go she will usually pick it up and walk away.  I have even tried walking her in the house with the lead, but she resists.  Today, with the weather being a little warmer, I walked down the street with her and put her down.  She walked a little way heading home, but then refuses to move again.  We will continue to work on this several times a day until she gets used to it.

We have a large yard, Pippin has so far only been in the area where we cleared snow.  This morning I took her to the back of the yard (can finally wade through the snow, and she can run on top).  It was like a lightbulb going off in her head, ‘Oh, there is a large area to run around out here’, and now we are chasing her all over the yard to make sure she doesn’t eat pine cones, leaves, branches, etc.    It’s priceless to see her so excited!

We have enrolled Pippin in puppy school, starting in a couple of weeks; Mateo will be taking the same class.  We  hope to get together with Max and Mateo at a puppy play date at the school in the next few weeks.

have attached a couple of pictures, from a few weeks ago.  I have taken many since then, but haven’t downloaded to my computer yet, will send some later.  One of these pictures is Pippin draped on Meredith’s neck, where she seems to be very comfortable.  BTW, Meredith is very pregnant with their second baby, due in a few weeks.  Another playmate for Pippin eventually.

Finnegan is coming along in this friendship thing, but Pippin is persisting in trying to get her to play.  It will come eventually.

Talk soon, Marlene

Click, Click, Click

Trying to get Nathan to take some photos. I only manage to get a few. DJ departs after a bath and Levon and Trigger dropped in. With the new white snow the yard looks brand new. It's funny how that is.

The dogs jumped in and out of the snow. They chased each other and they had a roaring grand time. The best was when I went outside without he camera. I think they call that Murphy's law.

The sun is bright and wouldn't this be a perfect time to get outside and run? Naw they just ate and have decided chilling on the couch is best. But they will get back out there and watch it be dark. Take the flash dear but he won't.

We did make dehydrated beef and chicken. They are in Love with Nathan as I made it but he gave it to them. Funny how that works.

Video - Photos Later

Bella has joined Bailey and here are a couple of videos for you to enjoy.

From Sylvia:

Bella is such a tease! She challenges Bailey, but then hides behind the gate where he can't get her, then pounces on him. Lol He's a good sport! Too cute!

Part 1

Part 2

If I get time I will add some photos from the crew and today Tuffy will be visiting and I am hoping Nathan gets photos of that.

Here's a few photos taken this morning and a couple of Tuffy. It was so busy with the seminar that I really didn't get much done other than grooming. hahahaha

Seminar was great and learned a great deal.

Quiet but Fun

DJ is here having a great time. He just popped in this afternoon. Ty was here playing up a storm earlier.I just love how he runs like he has to fit it all in.

Nathan loves to get them running, jumping and playing. As you can see they were having a great time so much so that they are now resting in the tv room with him. I have to admit I miss our tv time together but with Dennis sleeping at night and in the morning it won't be till they are older that we can watch tv together. But I also love my time with the pups.

I am not sure how much of an update I will do tomorrow. I have a seminar that I am attending online from 11am till 8pm. Its put on by UC Davis on canine reproduction and the speakers I am truly looking forward to hearing. So my bluetooth headphones will be in my ears but I will be doing what I normally do but taking notes. I am told no transcript. I am just not sure how well I can blog and listen but we shall see. If they are short - the blogs that is, you know why.

I already know I can groom and bluetooth with one headphone in an ear. Multi-tasking used to be a norm for me but who knows. I may be out of practice at least for learning and doing my normal stuff.

Oh well back to the dawgs!

I am not sure about you but I am tired of snow, ice and yellow snow. All around the neighborhood I see it. Can we have a meltdown, please. We groomed. We made chicken strips. They had treats. We played. I even got snuggles in. Looking forward to Cha Cha coming tomorrow.

New Homes & Fun Plus 2 Photos

Bailey and Bella's new homes arrived. Aren't they simply adorable?

To get your own head to this site. They do great fish beds too and I keep meaning to get a shark bed as they are simply cute - don't you think. Let her know where you found her. She's an amazing lady and does great work!

Ms. Dusty departed after her bath. Poor Simone didn't have fun with this move I bet. I mentioned that they say next to death moving is the most difficult thing to experience and I truly believe that. Unless you can take what you have in a bag or two - well too much. Glad that they made it through it. I remember poor Shannon. Dusty was delighted to see them and she is already missed! Ty comes to play tomorrow for the day.

Everyone has departed and we are just having crazy fun with my guys. Its literally quiet - wow - not used to that. :-)

Update on Truffie - 2 connections already. He seems to be a happy boy.

PS: I got a camera coming in next week. It's a foscam. I can talk to the puppies - they can talk back. I can see them - well all this after it arrives and record what they are doing. I am told its complicated to set up but I will let Dennis handle that. :-) This way I can groom and still be aware of the pups all the time. I like that as when Dennis is sleeping in the morning and I have dogs to get ready to go I run around constantly checking and wow that is stress-filled. This will be a good investment.

Really Short Blogs

Darlah,

Today in Dance Class we played Olympics.  Here is a picture of Coco winning a gold medal.  In the 9 events Coco won 4 golds, 4 silvers, and 1 bronze.  In Doozie's class she won 3 golds, 1 silver, and 2 bronzes and did not medal in 3 events.

Love the pics of the pups.

LOLTA

Carol

------------------

Carol: I love that you have fun with your dogs. Bravo!

------------------

Well I had a visit from Yvonne - cooked lunch for us - sat around and oh I am so behind. Well the dogs sat around with us and we played with them but productive of a day - not. I did manage to groom everyone, wash Pepper and Scruffy (will miss the duo) so they can be pretty for their mom and dad, check on pups, do laundry, clean pens, vacuum, cook lunch - hey I even got a shower in. Aren't you glad? :-) I am tired!

The point is there are no photos. Well there are but I am not going to go nuts resizing and posting as I am honestly exhausted.

Truffie asks where am I going? A girl you say? Oh my but am I coming back? Will I want to? hahahahaha

Have yet to hear how things are going but My lil boy is a man. Well of course I am mom. I have kids don't ya know?

Well, on another note Dusty departs tomorrow will miss her. I hope her Mommy survived her move. We get really quiet for a bit. What do you know - I may get to watch tv with Nathan and/or get some baths in. Sounds delightfully exciting doesn't it? Well Blacklist is back - Voice is back and who knows what but so much for a short blog.

Scruffy and Pepper depart in less than an hour and they look stunning. Well - I think so!

Togetherness: More Photos Coming

Shelby just had the snip snip and Jazzy noticed she was gone. Side by side - are you okay. Such a bonding moment.

Can't possibly put up all the photos that Nathan and Dennis clicked. Its time consuming but I also appreciate that moms and Dads want to see their dawgs.

Zoe after her bath.

Zoe and Dusty. Dusty's humans are moving so she is hanging out till Thursday. I bet you Shannon could tell us how fun moving is. Before I forget she brought some baby blankets - tomorrow's photos - thank you truly!! My lint queries was not to get baby blankets - though I am in need. It was truly to figure out how to deal with it. After I had Nathan pulling off the lint on one blanket he said DO NOT USE THESE BLANKETS ANY LONGER. hahahahaha While I was doing it he says well at least its getting done.

 Here are some photos today:

And you wonder why I groom them and they look a mess? Wild play, I tell you.

Well it was a delight to have Brewer, Levon and Trigger here. Scruffy and Pepper get a bath tomorrow and depart - sniff.. Then Dusty departs and suddenly its just us and the dogs.

Nathan picked up these 8 dollar storage boxes that I can store toys in. I was so excited as my grooming room is a work in progress. It suddenly looks slightly better.

Tomorrow Yvonne comes and picks up the Truffie. He is getting bred to her Flora. Lynda comes to visit before she departs for New York City. March Break comes soon and then goes - its a slower season than usual. Pups will get older. Things won't be as busy and maybe we will have a spring after all? We shall see.

Maybe I will get back to exercising when I am not climbing constantly over xpens. But with all the changes I always manage to take a breath and smile at the crazy dawg fun.

I used to talk to Yvonne for hours (a luxury when not busy) but these days no time so it will be great to have a visit. But she's taking ,y little man and he won't care with a gal in heat. hahaha

Short Update

Sorry got a bath to do and want to spend time rolling around in the tv room snuggling. Dennis took some photos some of the time and other times he said the camera didn't allow him to run around and play with the dawgs. I get that so we only got a few in this gallery. But everyone was playing. I don't think he clicked Pepper but he got so many of Dusty and Zoe. He said it was timing and clicked what he could while had the camera. Sorry about that as I usually try to make sure everyone is in so you know that good times are going on. But Dennis doesn't think that way. I got the camera - click. I don't oh well. He sees more value in playing and I guess I do too though I try to strive a balance.

Everyone is having a blast today. Now off to wash Zoe after dinner so she can go home. She's been enjoying having her sister Dusty here.

Very Late Update

I get to the blogs inbetween feedings, grooming, laundry, pups etc So it comes when I come and sometimes I rely on Nathan or Dennis to take photos and they don't think of taking photos of everyone. I say Nathan did you get x - he said sure plenty and then I look and not a single one.

Here are some photos from today. Everyone was groomed. Dennis couldn't run like a maniac out back as it is icy so he ran upstairs with the bunch and all I heard was running feet. Dennis is now sleeping before his all night duty.

That's all I can muster. The dawgs are all laying on Nathan watching tv after their mad racing game. I should have video taped it - I know but next time...

Late Update

Sorry that its so late but we have had a crazy day. Bella, Bailey and Darcy popped in. Bella and Bailey for overnight and a bath and Darcy for a playdate and bath. Everyone is so in love with Bella - yes even Scruffy and Pepper. Bailey is also so attentive. He's very attached to her.

Here's a lot of photos - all not caught and many before I brushed dogs out. Today has been a - brush 2 dogs, do pups, brush more and pups etc. But some I did brush when we clicked but they didn't look like it as the play has been non stop.

This doesn't feel like a manicure!

The dogs are still playing. I wish I had their energy. I so want to sleep but bedtime is at least 2 hours to 3 hours away as Dennis is sleeping. Ihave not stopped today. No ipad, no computer except blog. Wow - tonight I sleep as tomorrow I have baths to do. :-)

Snow, Rain and Wind

What a day of storms. :-) Here are a few photos Dennis took.

This was Kona looking for treats. Kona was over the top excited to see mom. One would think he didn't have a good time but over the years we have learned they come, they play hard, have the time of their life and then there is NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

I got 3 hours sleep thsi afternoon - hooray! Maybe a full night sleep. Dennis is sleeping so he can do night duty. I a, looking forward to 10pm.

We are still having a ton of fun. Hoping by tomorrow we will all have sufficient sleep. I seem to go from xpen to xpen - to laundry to playing with dogs to grooming to blow drying due to rain. I am surprised I even managed the blogs. hahahah But here they are. Not multiple entries but one a piece.

Snow no Rain

I am not complaining but they said a ton of rain and all we have had is snow. :-) Here are a few photos. Everyone is having a blast. Kona departs tomorrow just before dinner and as you will see he has had a really great time. He's a snow monkey now.

Yeah its a tad wet out there. hahahaha

The Dusty gal is here playing up a storm and getting wet too. :-)

In and out, in and out we go many times a day and all you have to say is outside and they come running.

They say the rain is still coming so I am hoping Spice cooperates so I can get Kona's bath in. Where there is a will, there is a way. :-)

Today Less

Today we are sharing Scruffy and Pepper playing in their yard before they come here.

Wanted to post videos but too large for my site and not up to finding a solution - way too tired - sorry.

Will I get more photos up today. Well, it is noon - got a bath to do and I am fading - so doubt it - sorry.

Sharing: Plus Winter Photos Added

Not sure with Panda in labor how many photos I will clicl or get up but here is a photo of Charlie we received.

He's a very pretty boy and Momma says he wasn't brushed so ignore that. I think he looks gorgeous natural. He's a Kat and Wasabi pup.

Here is some morning play. Doubt I will add more later as we may be too busy.

Everyone is playing and I mean everyone but Panda, Jeannie, Roxie and Spice. We didn't click all. Sometimes we have the camera - sometimes not and sometimes we need to shovel like today. These are all Nathan's clicks. Jeannie wanted to stay in the tv room and stay dry. heh

Oh My Gad

This is a no time for photo day. Dennis stayed up all night with pups so he slept till 1030ish. Nathan was at the show first thing. So, I placed my grooming table in the hallway and was able to watch pups and groom. I got everyone groomed, washed 6 dogs, fed, played and here I sit. I am so very tired. Nathan just walked in the door. I clicked a few photos on the kitchen and one of Cooper out with Dennis but sorry this is almost a no click day. Cali got reserve winners 2 days out of 3. Leti baby puppy but Adele and Jeannie nothing. It was a very political weekend.

If we knew about Roxie we wouldn't have booked this show. It was a pro handler weekend.

You have to imagine me playing and grooming. It was a comical day. The dogs loved it. The more tired I got the sillier, I suppose.

Here are the few photos I clicked at dinner time.

I just want the food, now will do please! Jazmyn (just had a bath) is now home with her Marlee dawg pal I bet snoozing.

Really I groomed them but Kona is a true play monkey these days. He knows the drill. Groom me, I get a treat and then I play and mess up everything you did. Here they are intently waiting for dinner.

Many times a day Leti and Wasabi play. It's a relationship that has developed and is amazing to watch.

Cooper, it's time for dinner. I will stay here with Dennis while we figure out where the rabbits are. :-)

It's been a day. Tomorrow Nathan can do cleanup. Cooper departs on Wednesday. Kona on Friday. We may or may not have more pups. I need sleep before then. hahahaha

It's a Crazy Day

Nathan is at the show. I washed dogs before he left. After he left Dennis went in with Roxie and I started grooming everyone. I also took them out to play 3 times - Dennis twice. We are also doing laundry, puppy watch, feeding moms to be. I am lacking sleep and haven't had a shower and won't till Nathan gets home tonight. Tomorrow I get to bathe some to go home. Busy times. But we are getting it all done.

Here are a few photos taken today. I won't add more later. I just don't have the time to resize, post etc

Didn't get all action today but we have had it. Didn't have my camera every time as I had to do cleanup too. :-)

More Photos

Here's a few Dennis took this afternoon.

We are truly having fun. Nathan doesn't get home till 630ish and then I have to wash show dogs and of course there is Roxie. Hope I get sleep.

See more photos below.

Ok Short Update

Doing a short update as I do not know what the day will bring and I have half the dogs groomed and doing the rest after this blog. Let's see if Roxie cooperates. :-) So far seems so.

Dennis is out now doing cleanup and clicking.

Show so far, Muntuno got his first real points (no points in baby puppy) getting winners dog. There are 13 havs at this show. Nothing for Jeannie. Leti won baby puppy (her very first show) and is going in for group in a bit. Nothing for Adele. Cali won her class.

This is a lovefest in our kitchen this morning.

The dogs are having a lot of fun. It's warm out but icy so they are playing more inside than out. Hoping it stays warm enough to melt. We were out there without our jackets.

Rafi say - want to play with me?

This is what we look like after playing hard and BEFORE the brushout. I brush daily as the dogs play hard and more play equals knots at times. Most don't have this much play on a daily basis.

Kona talks when he wants dogs to play. Some didn't quite understand it but when they realize he's introducing play they talk back and its a bloody riot. Kona is a talker.

Jazmyn finds outside a glorious thing. She just adores outside. She even sticks her face in the snow and I swear she is smiling.

Marlee is a gal on a mission always looking for the play. Boy does she need a bath. She came clean and with all this play - oh boy.

Socks has been playing with Cooper.

Dennis tells me I have more photos but I am brushing, dehydrating chicken, watching Roxie - got the olympics on and blogging. So more photos - probably not. This will have to do.
