Insane Busy

Sorry its just a busy day so no blogging today - well big blogging. Tonight I must wash Inula and Ella for the shows and we get up at 4am so Nathan can go to the show. Yikes... We didn't get many photos today (have some of pups) but here is today's gallery. I worked on Coops coat. We had Bonham and Tuffie here. We also had Dallas here. It was a good but very busy day. 

Tomorrow Nathan is gone and I have a number of dogs to do. It's usually not this busy but it will calm down. 

So enjoy the gallery. No one went swimming except me and that was strictly to exercise. It was a gorgeous day too. Got a ton of snuggles from the dogs today. It was rather feel good times!

Swim Day

Just Cooper, Brewer and Sparky went swimming today and as I had exercise to do, Nathan brushed them all out and then I did Cooper, Panda and Logan after I was done exercising to brushot and Coops some extra work.

When the dogs go swimming you have to brush them out thoroughly and if they are not short haired they also have to be dried as we have air conditioning on. It is a process but I love the dogs having fun and they did. 

As I am tired - long day - arent they all - quit complaining Darlah... the blogs will be short.

Sorry I didn't have everyone in it. We are trying to figure out how to replace a door on the pool shack and we are not handymen so its time consuming. Plus we had Patches and Abby over so be sure to check out the Jeannie and Spice blog too.

Rain Than Heat

It was an insane day - well at least for me. We had company and I had many dogs to do. I finally got my water exercise in and then was back doing dogs. I just stopped a bit ago. I took some photos and video but I was really relying on Nathan to do it and he took a tiny bit and I took the rest. As I was busy, well its not my usual. But hopefully it is good enough. 

None of the dogs went swimming. I simply was not available to take videos etc. Here is what I did capture.

Pepper and Scruffy was here for the day and really enjoyed themselves.

The dogs enjoyed chilling with Nathan.

Sparky dropped in and he is loving being with Nathan.

We believe in comfort for the dogs. They love hanging outside and oh a pillow nice for me?

Did you notice I am NOT getting my furniture stained.

Pepper and Ella really like each other.

Cooper believes in the ultimate comfort.

Kat really wanted to swim but I really had a lot on my plate. Sorry guys - tomorrow!

Sparky really likes Adele

I am doing aerobics in the water for an hour a day. It's my time and I feel I don't have time for that but I am forcing myself to make the time. The dogs were wondering why I was in the pool. I did 1 hour and 10 minutes today even when Yvonne was here or it wouldn't get done. How rude of me but she understood and hung out. I moved and we talked and it was okay.

It was a 'good day' but an exhausting one for me.

Tomorrow we get to see Patches and Abby. It is a quieter day so we are hoping to get Cooper in the pool. 

Been a Day

Yes, there is the Cooper under there. I am sorry I had so many photos today and I formatted the bleepin memory stick by accident so no Piper playing - yes she has taken a shine to the younger set Ella, Reggie and the older one Roxie. 

I tried to get Cooper in the pool. He wasn't interested but that's okay. He will swim before he departs. He's been having a blast rolling alll over with the dogs playing his heart out and then resting on anyone's lap that is available. hehe

I have had a long day. Here it is 830 and I have yet to do videos and I am updating the blogs.

Teddy departs tomorrow. He's like that really nice slipper that is extra comfie these days. He doesn't seem to want to swim but he is playing and gad he thinks our son shoots the moon. I think he is sick of the rain as we all are. We will miss him. Bath tomorrow. 

Tomorrow will also be busy as we have Lucy and PJ coming. Plus my friend Yvonne is coming in to pick up her laptops that Dennis is setting up for her. 

Piper will depart and she will be sorely missed. While I was not feeling well Cooper and Piper snuggled into my lap in the recliner while we watched tv. It was as if they knew I was under the weather.  Such intuitive dogs - warm hearts. 

Well be sure to check out Panda's blog. Panda was DELIGHTED to see Reggie but do I have those shots - nah deleted but I did have on Nathan's camera Reggie swimming. Yes, some days I use 2 cameras. Whatever is closest.

Long Day Hasn't Ended

Had a dog to demat that took me most of the day. Have another dog to do in a few minutes. I got visitors groomed - mine - not so. Tomorrow is another day. :-)

It's Raining

It's raining yet again so we are doing a lot of playing indoors. Cooper had black and I mean BLACK paws. Mia was blacker than she was. Teddy REFUSED to go off the deck. I just laughed. He stayed cleaner than most! So, I didn't click but instead washed and washed. My apologies for a real update. I will strive to do better tomorrow but will it rain again?

Lateness

Blogs will be late. Had a great visit with Treasure and her human mom today. Coops also dropped in. Always great to see Anne and Russell. Photos later as I have a son departing for Ireland for 3 months and he's coming over for a visit before he departs. So, it's a late night. Sorry. Actually I am not sure I will have time for the blogs but I will try. 3 months is a long time so I want to spend some quality time with our son, Tal. Of course the dawgs wil be visiting with us too. We are planning dinner outside.Milli (Spice Pup) full sister to latest litterTeddy watched 'Walking Dead' oh my gad do we really watch THAT - yep on Dennis lap last night.

Just a Stormy Day

Teddy says is the rain coming back? Can I stand outside with you while you take silly videos? Teddy didn't seem to mind the big noise in the sky today.

A nice neck warmer?

Well due to rain and then puppy swim not many photos today but we still had a lot of fun especially the trample the weeds down game that Inula started and the rest followed suit. Inula - I am TRYING to pull weeds you know!

Talking about plants... I went to a garden center in Ajax and wanted to get water plants. I did. But I also wanted 2 Hibiscus trees to replace the 2 that died. Dennis has finally figured they aren't coming back so I can replace them. hahaha I am only going to replaced 1. But I haven't seen any. I have seen the bushes but not the trees. Has any fellow gardeners seen any locally?

Half Rain, Half Sun

Okay the sun came out not too long ago - rather too late to swim. Not even sure if the pool is on. We did weed a path through the middle garden. We did get one water pot up and one pump is dead so wouldn't it have been nice to know this BEFORE we went to the garden center?I have decided plants are way too expensive. We need to create an exchange. hahahaha

Dogs were good in and out today and although we had mud not anything like yesterday. 

Some still found the tile inviting. It was actualy warm but rainy till late in the day.

Teddy has decided Adele is his pal. He just loves her!

What a Day

I was so busy that I have no photos. Due to rain I have been cleaning dogs (muddy under carriages and paws) and then the hubby invites someone over. Sure, no problem. I will brush all the dogs again - why not? Between tracked in mud and dogs needing washing and mud dog paw decor on my floor well I am a grump. Then they cancel coming over. 

So, the dogs had fun despite my rub-a-dub obsessions. Mia is here - what a wonderful dog! Teddy has become so comfie here it's so nice - like a fine wine. He loves, loves, loves sitting with Dennis while he fixes a computer. Gee Dennis can I sit next to you on the kitchen chair and watch? He is so happy sharing time with him unless Ella comes into his eyesight. 

So, I am cutting it short. We are fine but I need some downtime. Oh and I also need to eat something. 

Busy Day

Just had to share a photo of Spice and Pepper sitting side by side watching Saffron. Pepper is really enjoying life with others not just the Scruffster.

Scruffy and Pepper departed, Ash and Grey soon, Oscar gone and soon Reggie. So many changes. 

The Tedster will be hanging out and loving it! If it ever gets watm enough we may get him in the pool. We shall see.

Reggie has been a ton of fun and loves the schnauzers. He rather enjoys Ella Bella too!

Is it time to run human Nathan?

Sparky wants the Ella always.... Scruffy is going home at 7amish so he gets a bath tonight.

Taking a Break

I had issues with the blogs so I was just going to say - oh well. But now they are allowing me to update.  Roxie swam with Nathan. I didn't swim as it wasn't warm enough.

Everyone enjoyed hanging out at the pool.

Guess who was tired and not tired from running.

They did a lot of pack exploring.

Sparky just ran his heart out today. 

So did Teddy who came in and chilled on the tiles. He wasn't the only one.

Scruffy thought the tiles were just right. Can you believe he was brushed out in the morning? 

And some decided playing inside was fun too. Who needs to rest. :-)

It was a great day. They even tried to help me weed. Now that was interesting.

Just got off the recliner where I have a permanent crimp in my neck. It seems Scruffy was my neck warmer and Pepper snuggled up in my lap next to Adele!

No Photo Day

It's raining, it's pouring the old man is snoring...

Each time I tried to take photos the rain started pouring down. Each time I took the video camera out they stopped playing. It is one of THOSE days!

We had the morning. We got on our swimsuits and well between people coming we thought we would take visitors into the pool but Mother Nature had something else in mind and Levon and Trigger depart tomorrow. Guess next time.  What a rainy summer so far. Oh well the weeds will be easier to pull, I suppose but I am not going out and sitting in the rain to do so.

Dogs are doing well. They are playing but they are not happy I have to clean their feet and brush them out as they are getting soaked. 

Another Cool Day

Another non-pool day.

Teddy dropped in and he is ever so comfie here. He has such a bounce in his step these days!

Panda was so excited to see Reggie and he was so excited to see her! He sniffed and looked around for her till he saw her and went crazy!

Truffie was highly curious with what I was doing in the garden. I weeded for 3 hours and hardly made a dent.

Chair time was frequent today and soon we will be doing tv time.

Oscar gives me face kisses much like Spice does.

Trigger prefers the chairs and Levon prefers the cement much like Risa.

Levon gives me snuggles especially when I have popcorn. heh

Just Chillin'

Look at all those weeds... soon to be gone till they grow again. ;-)

We had a great day but its time to lay in that recliner with the dogs and try not to move. Weeding is so much fun.... not when there is just no end in sight.

Hoping for warmth tomorrow.

No Pool Still

No pool but we went to Costco and I bought a big fat noodle. May have to get more. Dogs were sunbathing today and baby rabbit hunting. <sigh> Who was keen on hunting? Oscar, Inula, Shoshi, Trigger and Levon. No one caughtthe bunny rabbit but they sure found it fascinating.

Nothing like being passed out in the sun just warm enough but not hot.

Brewer was ant hunting today. As strange as it is most seem to enjoy the game of watching them.

Is it nap time again?

We Wanted To

I missed so many moments like the one where I was playing Bejeweled in the outdoor furniture on the upper deck. I was laying down. Scruffy jumped and I mean jumped on my head and as I was in the middle of the game his tail kept swishing in my face not once but over and over. I was scoring poorly and that's my excuse. Then Pepper jumps up and pushes him back off my head to my neck. She decided my head was her spot. Then Levon decided to walk up my tummy and give me a kiss. I gave up. No photos as I was sort of in the experience but I had several others laying with me - Oscar cuddled up on the inside, Spicy just minding her business, Levon taking the circulation out of my lower legs. Brewski was up with Saffron and Nathan taking a nap - those slackers.

But I did get a few photos but no action ones. We wanted to swim but the weather had other things in mind.

Everyone did a fair bit of investigating. Scruffy and pepper depart tonight and Nathan is at class with Inula. Anyone who complains about washing a Havanese has to have an experience with Inula as she is blowing her coat. She is a strong one and doesn't want to stay still. So when you think you have it tough come bathe Inula for me. hahahaha Really washing a havnese is NOTHING.

Oscar likes to walk on the top stair I guess to get his feet wet. Risa does this too.

Levon is fascinated by the cardinals in the yard. He watches and watches them. He never chases but he is very aware!

The girls was telling Trigger get your own chair so he did!

Oscar likes to watch me do crazy pool duties. He watches this snake thing in the pool. Hey, it moves! He is becoming good friends with Ella.

That's it. Got to brush out Pepper and Scruffy before they go home then chill with the dogs out back till Nathan gets home. Saffron is hanging out with the big guys. So far, so good!

Cold Hangouts

We are still cold. Dogs are hanging out and I am finding them interesting. It's as if they are saying huh where's that warmth?

When pups are gone Dennis will weed around the pool. It's getting interesting out there. 

Oscar is fitting in nicely and really likes Adele, Inula, Levon and Trigger

Levon and Adele find pleasure in hanging out and letting the breeze cool them off. It is going to rain again. Nathan feels it in his bones - my builtin weather radar.

In step.....

Did you know dogs smell to find out so many things about the dog they are greeting. They can tell their emotion, - are they friendly - if they are sick etc

Magic is here hanging out for the day. She finds the pups fascinating. 

Happy Birthday Nathan

Nathan's birthday is tomorrow (June 1st). The sun won't shine but I hope he so enjoys the day. Blogs may be sparse as I try to lighten his load.

Cold and Rain

Well, I promised photos and its raining. Dogs keep getting soaked. They are having a total blast but really rain and cold?

Oh what a wet rag you are Adele

A blur of crazy play.

So you see they are playing. It is cold. It is wet. They look like wet rags except Shannons 2 as they have such short hair but paws are getting cleaned and they are looking at me cross-eyed. Do you blame them?

We will try for better photos tomorrow. But at least you can see they are playing but due to so much wetness they are doing their business and running for the door - well everyone but Risa who could care less and Inula of course.

Lots of Rain But Pool

We tried to get pool time inbetween pups going home. No one and I mean no one wanted to go in but Daisy who jumped right off the stairs and Kat, Roxie, Ella and we got Saffron in. Saffron was a sinker the first try. What I mean is she really would have sunk as she had no clue and she did poorly. I went oh oh not a swimmer. Nathan tried her 2 more times and you will have to watch the video to see what happened. 

Sorry I just didn't get around to more photos but Shannon I will do so tomorrow. Your duo was really playing too. Coco and Lucy were really playing. Coco departs tomorrow and Lucy - well she went home with PJ.

Ella says, I think I can do that too!

Much to our delight she did too. Oh my gad we have another swimmer. Even Roxie jumped off the side first but not Ella who decided to jump off the diving board. When they are wet I can almost not tell Roxie and Ella apart.

More photos tomorrow. We have 3 pups departing tomorrow. So I had baths to do, photos etc so now you get it, I am sure. I wanted to go to the farmers market but maybe tomorrow after the pups depart. 

PS: Anyone have a good source for water plants? I have 2 water pots to fill.
