Play, Play, Play

Patches was here to play with mom and everyone else including the Abby.  I created one gallery for pups and the adults and no time to edit so if you see yellow snow - well it is what it is. Black marks aren't what you think. We pick up on sight, It is leaves, sticks and a mess.

Mommas to be had baths today. Near the end we - well I wash weekly. 

We have had a high energy day filled with fun. 

I still have much to do to get ready for pups to come. Lynda and I are going out tomorrow to eat - fun! Got to get in out time before I can't go anywhere and boy I need it. The daughter is coming to visit Sunday. The granddaughter took a huge nose dive health wise. Back on the ride again. I am feeling better - hooray. Dogs are really enjoying the play.

 Inula is really turning into a great big dig socializer. Check it out in the gallery. 

Dinner Time

Just a few photos of them waiting for the chef to feed them. I have to laugh as they truly know their spot and yum they eat well. We didn't have much play outdoors today as the temps dropped. But inside play was keeping us busy. Sliding into home base usually garners a bang against your legs. Ooops sorry I was running too fast. 

Even indoors they tend to lose themselves.

Tomorrow Patches comes to play - such fun. We hope it warms up. Spice and Jeannie have xray dates and we have started setting up. You can see it on their blogs.

Departures

Who is coming now? Oh that human was out buying meat to add to our food. Oh, indulgent times we have.

Of course after he came in and Abby was brushed out he had his lovin session with the Abby.

You can even see Abby's eyes and guess what the hair tie - well it's staying in.

This was Pepper and Scruffy just before pickup. Of course the Scruffster hates to leave his face brushed. hahaha Are you sure he is not a Spice pup. They were so excited to see human mom and dad.

Well we just finished feeding. Logan and Panda are waiting. I am feeling better but still congested. Think I will snuggle with dogs and watch some tv. Every now and then we need a low key day and Nathan and Ella are out at class. That means I get all the snuggles and no shares.

Warm Snowy Day

I have too many photos to post but today Toby and DJ departed. We miss them already. Jazmyn and Marlee came to visit. Jazmyn claimed her tv room spot. I find it a riot - yep, I am here. That is MY spot. Toby played his heart out this morning especially with Scruffy. I hope he slept on the way home. DJ had a bath and then went and got soaked again. hahahah

We have had a good day. Abby had a hair tie in her hair and it lasted what felt like 5 minutes. I will try another method tomorrow.

Shoshi's bangs are almost long enough to put up. Maybe in a month.

Snow has stopped. It's a far cry from what they suggested. Too bad. The dogs would have has a blast. Tomorrow Scruffster and Pepper departs. Tiny comes for a play and bath. It's going to be so quiet. heh

No more blogs tonight but this one. I am better but want to chill and do less today. Soon the other blogs will be updated daily and much work begins.

We have had a warmer day and I have looked around and went oh my spring will bring a lot of cleaning with all these sticks. Everywhere I look I see sticks. Havanese equals stick chewers. One wonders what they like about it.

Just One Blog Today

Dogs have been having fun. Harper came over for a bath and play. Lori's magic ideas are working on this virus I have. No hives and no benedryl today - hooray!

Dogs are having a blast but I want to really complete getting well so one blog update only. Tomorrow I will try to do better but I figure the photos Nathan took TODAY will make up for it. Wednesday its supposed to be 0c then a drop and then Saturday +1c. I think this is the March tease but anything is better than -40c. 

Our pipes are no longer frozen. I am dreaming about pups and flowers and staining &*() patio furniture and new pads that are needed. So funny what you think of when the weather gets a tad warmer. 

Girls are getting huge. Jeannie is pretty big but Spice is growing fast. 

Can't wait till we can swim and groom outside. Oh I know I am ahead of myself but its healthy to dream. I am now on a mission to save any tips for a Go Pro so I can take underwater photos and sit pool side and just take it all in. Crazy dreams. I would love to take puppy legs in the water slow motion style.

Nathan is off to a show March 13-15 in Orangeville then to Sudbury at the end of the month. We hope pups come before the 13th and I hope Spices' come before the Sudbury show. If not we will do what we need to. :-) In about a week the room needs to change. Supplies to get ready is important too. Got to make an xray date for Jeannie. May be too early for Spice... hmmm So much to plan. I best get well. 

Got to get back to exercise. Got to find time to learn (got videos to complete) and well can't wait till warmth so we can have friends and puppy people over. 

Lots to look forward to - I hope!

Dogs are eating late tonight (in a few minutes). They are licking their lips at what Nathan is cooking. He likes to add things to the food and they don't lift their heads out of the dish. Yes, everyone is eating very well - well not canine moms unless you give them cooked food (not just cooked chicken) every meal. They already know Daddy will cook up everything they want to make sure pups are a good weight. To say they are extra spoiled at pregnancy time is an understatement.

Think I will lay down. Fever is back... sigh.

Warmer Day

We had a warmer day. That means we had a lot of play in and out. Dennis was on camera so many shots I would have liked to use were blurry but many were not. It is okay. Dennis had a whole series of blur with Scruffy and Inula. Wish those had come out. Here are the ones that did.

Scruffy and Pepper really loved Abby's energy.

Brewer who is now home now had a blast in his usual running form.

I believe the dogs celebrated the warmth.

We had Coco here (departs tonight) and she just played her heart out. 

It is so obvious how much Scruffy and Pepper adore each other.

Even when they are apart they are aware of each other.

We had many lovefests with different players.

Pepper says what a large funny looking Havanese you are, Inula. Oh yeah you are a tibetan terrier.

That's it. Everyone had a blast. I am still sick so Dennis was clicking . Not all photos came out. Wish they had but then I would still be posting photos. hahahaha

Hoping I am better tomorrow and I can click. We shall see.

I was actually brushed and well its warmer so I rolled and rolled and now I finally look cute.

Belated Birthday and More

Happy birthday shout out to Lila, Buddy, Chase, Milly, Meika and Suki. I am not sure how I missed it on the 21st.

I am still not well so short blogs or photos on each blog. I did get a nap in and woke up to hives. Oh well it will pass with benedryl.

Promise I will click tomorrow. Scruffy and Pepper are wonderful. Its cold here. It's getting old.

Brushed or Not

Well I am indeed fading so I am only doing this blog. I also tried to fit in a few baths so very few photos. Sorry about that. It's my 2 week mark so I like to get everyone done. I am not done so I need to crawl on the couch with dogs and rest. 

Who was brushed ? One of them, 2 of them? What do you think?

Jon was caught in the tv room snuggling with the dogs. Its cold today so we had more indoor play than outdoor play. 

I have a fever so as I said I am crawling on the couch and not doing any other blogs. I will return to updating the rest when I feel better. Moms to be are eating up a storm and growing daily. heh

Hooray Roxie comes to bed with me tonight so that will make me feel better. She just finished her heat and has not been bred. She's going to just play with the pups without any responsibility. 

Oh and oh my gad the human pralines Shannon brought me - wow yum. Haven't tried the rum balls but maybe they will kill this bug - well thats my excuse!

Stealing Food

Oh the Ella thinks she is starving but she is now eating twice vs. 3 times a day but the moms to be are eating 3 times and well she will try to nibble here and there. We do not allow it but as you can see she tries.

I am a tad under the weather. I am crawling on to the couch so blogs are VERY short. 

Everyone is well. Kona and Socks went home. Roxie should be over her heat but Kat is still bothering her. Perhaps tomorrow she can come back to bed with me vs. Dennis. She does make me feel better. :-)

Off to get that dawg loving and wait for Scruffster and Pepper to arrive.

This is the only blog I am doing so that should tell you I need to be on the couch.

Two Updates Today

Morning Fun

Just sharing a photo of Charlie that we received this morning. Isn't he rather handsome! As they live so far away we don't get to see him unless we go to a show in Quebec. Hoping to do so this year. 

We decided not to go to the show today. Its rather silly. The place is all the Westminster pros and that's who is getting the look and they aren't even hiding it. I watched all the rings and they didn't pay attention to anyone that wasn't a pro. We got what was to be had in that atmosphere so we are staying warm, getting Zack and Coco ready to go home. Last day with Kona and Socks - they depart tomorrow. 

Spice and Jeannie's tummies are already getting large. More about that on their blogs with maybe a tummy shot. I have to shave their tummies but in this weather...

We have a bit of an issue with frozen pipes - now leaking pipes so we are getting that rectified. 

I leave you with a taste of the fun they are having seeing it is warmer but tonight a deep freeze again. Levon is chasing Socks and Clarity is saying what are YOU doing? Levon is having the time of his life - Trigger too but Levon is usually less adventurous than Trigger but not this trip. He's like a kid in a candy store when it comes to play. He plays and plays and plays and then naps then plays again. 

It's Snowing and Warmer

Dogs are LOVING this warmer weather. They say frigid is coming back Tuesday so we will enjoy this while it lasts. I have more photos to post after the show. I depart shortly. The boys will be with the crew. No show Sunday.

As you can see Trigger and Levon rather enjoy the craziness of the Inula and wow when she comes back from shows she is a crazy gal and they love it. But this was taken today when the dogs realize wow its warm and hey our feet aren't hurting. Of course if you are Dennis you walk out on the snow with bare feet.

Such a Slacker

I am becoming such a slacker but this is a no photo day. Its simply way too cold outside for the dogs to do outdoor things. Dennis has had running games with them upstairs. They have had a ton of fun doing that. They are now all sleeping. 

Inula got best in breed but nothing in group. What that means is she has another point to her championship. This was unexpected. Nathan doesn't get home till 730ish. Then he is back at the shows first thing. We woke up at 5am. I tried going back to sleep with the dogs on the couch and it was impossible. This dog or that walking up and over and every which way. I think they were telling me something.

We are keeping Ella home tomorrow as our schedule is terrible. Havs are showing at 9am and TTs at 330. It means a terribly long day for a puppy. We will show her on Sunday when the schedule is close. She did well today getting group. She did not win the entire thing as Nathan said she was clearly tired. I do not want her disliking the shows. 

Next week baths start again on my crew and a few others. Maxine was here for a bath. She was great. She's such a fun dog.

Kona gets another bath first thing Monday as he will be heading home. 

No Photo Day

Have too much on my plate today. We had handling class last night, last class for the Jeannie and Roxie crew, Then I come home and I must wash Ella for the show and pack Nathan up for the show. I just finished Inula. 

So, instead of the usual update today I will post this photo of Abigil and Fiona. I still miss them tremendously but they seem to be enjoying life. But that's not what this is about. This is about sables. Do you see how light both went? Sables go light the dark and light throughout their lives. Both are in their darker stage now. This was the lightest they got. I love sables as they are always changing. Ms. Roxie has gone darker these days. 

The havanese are so fascinating - don't you think?

Everyone is doing really well. The crew is really tight - meaning they are playing and enjoying each other thoroughly. Last weekend for Kona. We will miss him in a huge way and as you can see he has been playing his heart out. 

More tomorrow. I plan to click more tomorrow and have videos from the last class. 

Snow and Cold

IIt's not as cold as its been but it is snowing and dogs are still lifting their paws. I am so tired of yellow snow that it best give us a decent amount of snow or melt. hahahaha 

Here are a few photos that I took today but honest - they are going in and out so much but they are lifting their paws and wanting to come back in. So in and out we go many many times a day.

Just another day of fun and trying to stay home with an interesting winter of 2015. The dogs ARE having fun!

Such a Slacker

It's a tad warmer today but we had a broken dryer, a puppy visit with two of Jeannie's pups (huge thanks for the yum desserts.) I also didn't click anything but the pups. You see Roxie is in heat and I believe Leti is coming into heat. Leti refused to play and well when a gal is in heat they usually stay in my office and get girls let in to play with or have to be taken out without the boys seeing. Its a crazy process so when we have visitors with a gal in heat we either have to put them away or the boys away. So while we have visits Dennis sits in and watches tv with them. Sometimes he goes upstairs with them or outside and runs with them but today with a repair guy coming for the dryer at the same time as a visit they went into the tv room to cuddle with Dennis. Besides its a tad warmer but still too cold to stay out for a period of time.

Right now Roxie is in prime and she is not being bred. She is over on the 23rd but if Leti comes in we have another for 3 weeks and the separation continues. Even if the males are neutered they can connect - yes that is so true. They just can't create puppies. Then if a neutered male does connect he will always be looking. That's not fair to the dog so that means mostly the gal in heat is away while the boys and others play. But we look for opportunities for the gal in heat to have her time to play too outside of the office as I believe they need to play, get out and live. When gals are in heat at least twice a day the crew watch tv and have their downtime with Dennis or Nathan. Sometimes Nathan naps with them. Other times he watches tv. We always try to give the dogs down time twice a day as they play nonstop.

So this is our life with dogs in heat. The boys count neutered and not and so do the girls. The gals aren't up to par so they want and need more downtime than the rest that are not in heat.

Isn't this more than you ever want to know? The long story is no photos. hehehe

PS: Several hundred dollars later I have a dryer. I have to have a dryer.
