Yes some weather. It was balmy but rainy today so each time the dogs went out they got soaked and muddy and so did our floors.
We only got a dusting but boy did the dogs appreciate it in a huge way. Me too. I have a crew to rinse and when I started rinsing I realized they were so muddy they need baths - each and every one.
Got dogs to finish so short blogs today.

Really I comb and comb and comb and they look like the cat dragged them in and had a party. We need the rain or melt to stop so we can save my hand and arm. This is crazy - seriously.
We are now expecting this to stop tomorrow and have a dusting of snow over ice. It's a far cry from the big storm they said was coming.
Short blog today as I am grooming too much. LOL

Everything is mega slush pile and the dogs come back in so soaked that you have to wring them out - well not really but it certainly is a mega towel day. So, hardly any photos were taken - sorry and I mean hardly any.
They go out, get soaked. I dry them and comb them and well they do it again. I was doing that so much that nothing else was getting done and then we had Bailey departing so....
Not to worry. Fun is had by all. Skylar arrived. Tenshi and Brewer was here for the day.
Nathan thinks he is getting sick - oh boy...

It's warm enough that the dogs are staying out longer with us and that means we can snap but we don't just go out and click photos. We play with them and we go pickup on site. They are expelling more energy now that it isn't as cold.
The dogs were all brushed out and are now wet rags. It's that wet snow. I comb them out again but instead of putting each under dryers I give them warm heated towels and blankets and set up 2 dryers to get them feeling toasty. Then I brush them out again. It's a crazy process but the dogs love it. Nothing like burrowing into warm blankets and towels in the tv room and taking a nap. Of course some prefer the kitchen or the hall but the absolute fave place is the tv room. It's like the kitchen table area for a family without the food. Everyone gathers and enjoys each other and has some downtime.
We have cameras in the house so one day Dennis had the display of all the cameras on the tv. Murphy (Safs sister) was watching it and was highly fascinated. Yes, some dogs do watch tv. Watch out for that Pet Channel. Some dogs will bark at it. :-) Not all but... some.

Yes, it snowed. It warmed up. We got an early play session in a bit after 715am.
Doing to blogs early so I do not have a very long day. Hope you don't mind. This way I can head out with the dogs and play with them vs. clicking and I do so enjoy that.
Kat is in crazy mode. Saffron is in the prime of her heat. 6 more days and counting!
Risa LOVED shimmying in the snow and truly enjoying the experience. Good for you, Risa.
All the dogs loved the warmer weather. Me too. Hope the deep freeze is gone for good but rain... not looking forward to THAT!

Many left, still some remain but I think this crew has had it with this cold weather. They are playing indoors more and more and saying are you kidding - you want me to go out in that?
I only got a few photos. Sorry. They say rain come Thursday but not enough to make a dent. That means ice - joy - can't win.
Dogs are still enjoying and I am going to watch Voice UK. It's the 1st time in a long time I get to watch tv. Have things to do but I said - I must. Miss the time with the hubby and the adult dogs. Time in bed not enough lol

This is Zach. He says, it is way too cold. Zach, Coco and Chase depart tonight. They had a blast considering how cold it is/was. We managed to still have fun upstairs in the halls running like banshees and having short stints outdoors. They say we have broken records in the most consistent days of a deep freeze. Joy...
The gallery is small as its just too cold for humans, dogs and the camera to be outdoors. I need those touchscreen winter gloves.
We had a full day here. Tomorrow another full day as another puppy departs.
Hoping you are coping with this cold better than I. The poor dogs just don't get it and neither do I. Then on the otherhand, Inula the tibetan terrier thinks its perfect weather.

Tchibo got a bath and trim up tonight. He departs tomorrow morning. I will blow him out and freshen him up first thing in the morning along with minor trimming. He has WONDERFUL hair. My hand is screaming due to this daily marathon I am doing.
Here is a mini gallery. Realize it is still very cold so outdoors is happening many, many times a day but for short periods of time.
Everyone was playing silly games with Dennis upstairs today. they had a blast but Dennis hates videos or photos taken of him so take my word for it that they were DELIGHTED.
Tomorrow we have 2 pups going home and a number of visitors.
Archie. Murphy and Sparky arrived today. Simba and Pepi just departed minutes ago. Everyone is tucked into blankets and beds in the tv room and enjoying their down time.
It's been a very long number of days.
We still have 10 more days of Saffron being in heat. We are counting the days.

I can't believe it is 10pm and I am just now finishing up this blog and still have water dishes to do. Tomorrow is exceedingly busy again. So, again we will do the best we can.
Here is Chase doing what we do around here - getting mighty comfie. Someone said you need to get off that bench at our front door. I said this house is dog friendly. They are welcomed even in the bathrooms. hahahahaha
Dogs had a blast. They are now outdoors with Nathan for one last romp before bedtime. Yes, we go out with the dogs. If they are asked to freeze, we should too.
On that note, I need to get to the water dishes. We have 8 of them down each day and we freshen them throughout the day. It is important your dog always has access to water during waking hours - not at night.

Just finished grooming. Supposed to do 1 more for a early departure so I will get up early tomorrow to get him done. Gallery coming but have to create them etc.
Chewie, Riley and Rosie depart tomorrow. Pepi and Simba arrived. Pepi was a dog we took in for someone that decided to keep 1 dog and not Pepi so we found him a home. He's a lovely dog but he is now old, has cataracts and was irritated with my comb out. I didn't get to Simba tonight. No energy and the arm doesn't work so well at the moment. Tomorrow I will do him.
I still have to do the stuff for pups departing and as a matter of fact I wash a puppy that is departing on Friday.
So, dogs had a great time.
Now they have tv time and I am blogging. After blogging I get things ready for pups departing - the remaining stuff them clean 6 water dishes, mats, get food ready for leti, pups etc So - still a long night to go.

Milo departed today but oh boy he just loved the girls. I have to laugh. He should have been called Romeo.
Dogs are going, dogs are coming. I also have my usual grooming schedule. So, I had 8 dogs yesterday, 8 dogs today (full grooming) then I combed out the rest. This is our busiest time next to March Break that tends to be more spread out.
Then I am staying up till 1130ish cleaning up and Nathan heads to bed at 10pm. The dogs that hang out with me till I can go upstairs are looking at the stairs saying HELLO - let's go. Why they stay down, I don't know. I suppose to keep me company.
The dawgs played hard today. Those going home got groomed. Chester and Red depart tomorrow and Rosie, Pepi and Simba come tomorrow and Clarity and Farley arrived tonight.
It's a busy but fun house and I will tell you I feel like I am going insane. I didn't eat today till 6pm and that was a fast thing. Going to be like that for a few days. I think about the 8th it calms down but just by some. LOL
Nathan is yelling TV time but not for me tonight. I am still blogging.

I groomed ALL day and in-between I did laundry and making sure pups had food and tomorrow I wake up to do it all again. I tell you this as I am tired and I need to make the blogs short.
Just know everyone is having fun. I hate yellow snow. There is nothing like puppy kisses!

This is what happens when it is too cold and when this happens we bring them right inside. Chase is saying this snow is too cold. One would hope this cold spell would go but doesn't seem to be any end in sight.
The dogs had fun despite the cold but we practice safety and take them out MANY times a day for very short time frames vs. longer as no human or canine could do this outdoors for anything beyond a quick outdoors.
Now everyone had some prime rib added to their food - yum! They also are cuddled right into the number of blankets, on couches, on a recliner etc while it becomes cuddles and tv time and all the dogs love it after a full day of play. I want to join them so I am wishing you a happy New year from all of us to all of you. May it be the very best new year yet!

Milo arrived today and Momma Roxie was so delighted. She gets so excited to see Tchibo as well. Bonus she gets both her sons here for the next couple of days. She is loving it!
See today's gallery - as much as we could be outdoors. We make the most of what we can.
Tomorrow Jesse, Murphy (Kat's brother), Toby and Skylar depart. they may sleep for 2 days after so much fun.
I can't believe tomorrow is New Year's eve. No champagne here. hahaha Who had time to get it. I have to have a gin and tonic. My fave drink anyway.

Tia says - really cold white stuff... really?
We are not getting many good photos. Even the lens is fogging up. Have to laugh but here is today's gallery.
In top form Saffrom climbs right over the xpen - really. So a closed door is a must.
Everyone is staying inside but out for tiny body breaks though we do have pads down. Not everyone knows what a pad is but we are trying. With it being cold for a number of days, it is useful especially when some say - are you joking - you want me to go out in THAT!

Poor Kai was holding her foot up. We had record breaking cold and it is going to continue through the New Year. But tomorrow should be warmer than today.
We do not have too many photos as it was simply that cold but we managed to play indoors and outside for minutes at a time. It's been too bitter out there.
Kai went to the vets for her vaccination and she weighs a whopping 8lb. I guess she is going to be bigger than her mom. lol
Blog is going to be short as I want to eat. I know its 7pm but I haven't eaten yet today so I am going to make time. lol
Time to go to bed? hahahaha

Kona was here and Kathy brought cookies. It's a miracle I got one. It's Dennis fave. hahahaha It was great to see both Kathy and Kona. It's been too long since I saw them both.
Katie also went home. She was so excited to see her human Momma! It was heartwarming!
Chester arrived and is already playing up a storm. Everyone is playing and having a good time but its way too cold outdoors. Paws are being lifted and we didn't take the pups outside as it was simply too cold.
I had a very full day of grooming. I need a new arm. But we are having fun and i am trying to blog and go to bed on time. ROFL!

Saffron is in heat and NO she is not getting bred. So on top of the busy house we now have Saffron sleeping downstairs with Jon and the boys that are intact are on edge as they know. Tomorrow she gets to stay in my office blocked off near my desk and hopefully the boys won't smell her - fat chance.
Got to love this luck - not! Saffron is early. I thought for sure she wouldn't go in till after the Xmas holiday season. Hoping no one else.

Miko, the TT was visiting and it was great to get some dogs exposed. He just is a puppy and plays and plays. You will see in the gallery.
It's been an insanely cold day and the dogs were lifting up their paws after not too much time so we had a LOT of ins and outs. I clicked a bunch. Dallas departed first thing this morning. Chase is about to come and Toby arrived earlier. Chester comes tomorrow and Katie departs tomorrow afternoon.
Tchibo is such a play monkey. What a well rounded dog. He just plays with all big or small. I am impressed at how he can keep up. Everyone and I mean everyone is playing with someone or someones. It's so nice to be a part of it!
