Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Photos

Inside or Outside

The dogs do play inside and outside even though I take more photos outside. In all these photos, I am not sure Nathan clicked Murphy (sorry Sherry - may be wrong but quick glance....). I did the indoor ones. He did the outdoor ones. 

I have to say the dogs have been delightful and the crew is really meshing well.

The dryer is fixed. Get this it was lint (huge ball of it) inside the motor. The guy had no clue how it happened but he took it apart and removed it and it is working well. I have 6 loads facing me and I am yawning.

Then the vacuum died. So, I was exploring vacuums and not happy with prices but I was asking a friend who owns a vacuum store in the Maritimes and she said if you buy direct from Miele they have a 10 year warranty till the end of this month. Personally I do not think we need one. Dennis thinks we do. Laughing loudly. It is something that will wait but I add this so you now know why my video link went to miele vs the videos. My oops. 

So, if I am not making sense blame it on exhaustion.

Oh and Tenshi gave us a blanket to snuggle with her so after she came indoors wet than wet, I did just that for 5 minutes or so and she decided she liked it so there she remained and snoozed for a solid hour.

I sorely need tv time in a blanket of dogs. So over and out!

Snow Fun

What a day. Dogs have had a literal blast. Everyone is playing and getting along well. It's a wonderful group and with the snow it's even more fun.

This blog will be short as we had a vet visit today and a dryer that is going. Tomorrow just before the 8 week visit, a repair man will be by to fix the dryer - we hope. Our dryer gets used immensely and it is just under 1 year old so it is in warranty - hooray but that means I have to move my grooming table and my storage table tonight and move the dryer out and perhaps move my towel shelving. As it is already 730, I need to get with it on this. I figure it is a 2 hour job. sigh

Dennis will play with the pups and I will get the room ready till he can help me move the tables. Nathan will hang out with the other dogs. 

But the dogs have been so fun to watch. Everyone and I mean everyone is playing including grumpy Kat.

if I owe you email, I will be doing that after the laundryroom craziness. I have not been able to catch my breath.

So, again apologies but I got to do what I have to do. heh

Comfort Spots

Everyone LOVES this desk. It's one of the most prized places ever for all the dogs including our own. It llows you to watch in comfort but still be in the thick of things. 

Barney, Clarity and Farley arrived after Nathan clicked these photos. Here is this mornings gallery.

Blogs may be very short tomorrow minus galleries except for the puppies as we head for the vets. Our sons will be here holding down the fort till we return. 

I am still keeping up an insane grooming schedule due to the holidays. So, I will do the best I can with galleries and the blogs.

Everyone is truly enjoying each other and I am enjoying them. Ziggy gives the very best greetings to me. He play bows then jumps up and play bows. It's a riot!

Light Dusting

We got a light dusting today and then it was gone. I still have a dog to do so blogs are short - sorry.

Dogs are having a great time. Gracie departed. Red arrived. Nathan washed Inula so it set me behind lol - sad but true. Yes, Inula is the only dog he washes. It was time.

I will try to do better blogs tomorrow but really the operative word is 'try'.

A Wet Day

Rusty just departed and he had a total blast. He was over for an overnight and bath and trim. He is such a good boy.

We had a huge meltdown. In one respect it got rid of yellow snow which happens but it also got everyone saturated so I was doing a ton of grooming.

The biggest wet culprits was Sparky and Gracie. They got soaked and they kept doing it. I had to laugh as what else can you do?

Noah and Zoe was not pleased with what felt like a shallow lake out there. Would you?

It was a good day...

A Bit of Snow

Blogs will be short again as I am having insane days. I groom, I stop and do puppies, I groom, I do puppies again. I am eating popcorn for dinner as i really do not have the time.

Despite my tightness of time the dogs are having a blast with Nathan and Dennis. It's just me that is crazy - well until bedtime and well depending on your perspective. hahahahaha

Very Short Gallery

We have Jesse visiting us again. He is such a grand big dog socializer. Even the new dogs that are hesitant at first warms up to him and it's a positive experience.

We have 2 new dogs visiting us that have not been here before. they are really comfie here and have eaten their dinner. That is a sign of comfortability. Their names are Zoe and Noah. They are not in the galleries today - not many area as Nathan took so few but tomorrow....

I think he got a few of Cody who is already playing with this one or that one. He seems to be playing with many!

Dallas also arrived today is is exceptionally comfie in the tv room. She just loves the Ella. Got to love that gal. Penny takes over the plush pillow on the table in the tv room and always claims it as her own. I think Nathan captured her today in the tv room. I have to laugh. Murphy, Brewer, Ty, Tchibo, Tucker and Buddy departed today. Rosie goes late tonight.

When I have a lot of grooming the galleries seem to be small. I surely hope it snows soon. 

We want to thanks Dolly's parents for dropping by with a holiday gift. Deepest appreciation. I can't wait to see Dolly and Trouble in the new year! We also want to thank Ty's mom for the lovely chocolate that she makes and in one afternoon it is gone. 

We were supposed to go to a holiday party today but between Dennis having a serious asthma attack last night (he's sleeping right now)  and the Adele pups deciding they wanted to make some noise last night and Truffie wanted to bark back - well we seriously need sleep. Could have used some yum holiday food and good company but.... life happens.

Late Blogs

Will have late blogs across the board. Stay tuned. They will get up. I just have not finished grooming and I am now on my last wash and haircut. Starting now at 715pm - sigh

Snow Where Are You?

We had a saturation day. The dogs kept getting soaked. I am on Aleve, tylenol 1 combo as my arm, wrist and hand tells me I am grooming too much when I am. 

I was grooming half the day.

Every now and then I stopped and clicked a photo (like this one) but Nathan has been doing most clicking and to be honest he doesn't click as much as me. He just says he wants to participate in the play and of course he has the pick up after dogs each time he goes out so photos are not his thing except when he has the time and then he takes them. So, if he didn't click your dog, blame him. I have nagged him enough. lol

I have a full day grooming each day through Christmas so photo galleries will be on Nathan and Dennis. I will try to nag more intelligently. lol

Dogs  are hoping for more snow as they are sick of this wet grooming stuff and can you blame them?

Now, as i type they are sitting with Nathan in the tv room chillin and loving it!

Sorry No Photos

It was so cold that we didn't click. I so apologize but the dogs are having a blast inside, outside for a few minutes and then back inside again. Even they think its too cold - not just us fragile humans.

Nathan tried jackets and a sweater on Kai and she was less than happy. She wanted to tear the thing off. 

Clean and Messy

Sparky does the Risa roll and adores it. Of course this happened right after I combed him out.

These are messy times as we had a partial melt and the dogs got sopping wet.

Clarity and Farley was bathed one day early. somehow I thought today was tomorrow. All I can do is laugh at myself.

Kai was playing with melting snow. She had such a fun time at it. It's amazing what fascinates them.

We had so much grooming and combing out that I think I have tennis elbow of sorts radiating down to my hand. Oh well, I best get over it as these are busy times with the holidays - dogs getting groomed, dogs coming to stay and or visit. Powder snow weather gods - please!!

Running in the Snow

First Snow Fall

Everyone was brushed. We had our first snowfall but guess what, it wasn't much. I combed out these 2 but they don't appear like I did. hahahaha

Cold But Fun

Barney was over to visit and get groomed. Here he is with his daddy. Barney and Truffie really like each other. It's amazing as Dad's don't bond with the litter early on but Truffie did play with them. He's kept up his bond with him and I think that is nice! Truffie is a lovee in a huge way.

As we had the 5 week visit the dogs had a mad crazy run with Dennis and then went upstairs to play with him. They LOVE, LOVE going upstairs as they know he plays all sorts of games with them. 

Murphy departed - sigh. Barney departed - sigh Sparky is having a great time. I just can't keep him combed out. LOL

Dogs had fun. Tomorrow if it snows I may just take snow out and not do my usual comb-outs. Every now and then I need to do that. :-)

Such Fun! : Gallery Made It

While I groomed and juggled, Nathan clicked. Barney was here to visit. Don't worry, he was groomed. He plays hard similar to the Stormy one.

Dogs had a ton of fun today but I still have to comb them out. Yes, it's almost bedtime but it has been one of THOSE days. Oh I so need a slower day. :-)

Tomorrow I will get everyone combed out in the morning. Clean house and have visitors tomorrow and some grooming as Monday I have decided if anyone needs to be groomed, Nathan can do it. Shhh he just doesn't know that yet.

As I type the dogs are laying all over Nathan and Dennis in the tv room. I miss my tv time with Nathan and the dogs. 

Relationships

After all this time Saffron and Murphy are such great partners in crime. It is obvious how much they love each other. In a similar sense, Saffron now sleeps upclose and personal to Kai and Murphy. It is obvious how much she loves them. As Murphy comes frequently, that relationship was cultivated and they have quite the bond. 

One of our grand daughters left their sock and guess who found it. It's the best toy ever. I have to laugh. At first I was concerned they would be after our sicks but not so. This one sock must have the smell of babies.

I did manage to comb everyone out early. Nathan took photos. I was going to wash the Jeannie pups but will do 7 pups and my usual groomings tomorrow. Oh boy...

They say snow is coming. I hope so. It will be a riot to see the dogs enjoy as long as its powder snow. Wet snow will mean rinsing all those snow balls off. We shall see if it even happens.

It will be Kai's first storm if so. If it snows tomorrow it would be fun to get the Adele pups out. Jeannies is still too young but they will get their turn too. Time will tell!

No one looks brushed but rest assured this tired body got to them. It wasn't when Nathan clicked these photos. It was here and there throughout the day between groomings. If I do not make sense, it is due to being so tired. I really, really need some down time. Looks like maybe Monday as I decided if I can't have a weekend day, Monday will do. lol

The dogs that are here all really like each other above and beyond. It's nice. Mr. Sparky I had all combed out and he went under the Japanese maple where we have damp soil and did the shimmy. That was interesting to get out.

Logan and Panda's dad made it through heart surgery. He will need time to recover but appears his heart is mended. We are ever so glad!

Ruth is still in hospital and we are hoping they find a solution so she can get home.

It's been a crazy few days starting with Leti going into stage 1 for a full day and then the next day having pups. We are still trying to recover. That's funny as I have 7 pups and 2 moms to wash come Saturday. I may have to do moms early. 

Between this rain and mud the house gets mopped and mopped and the dogs get groomed and look like wet rags after. You can't win.

Still, the dogs have an immense amount of fun. But can it snow or stop raining please!

Holiday Spirit
