Happy 5th: More Bday Below

Five years ago, I wrote - Meet Fiona and sire: Paula's chocolate Phantom - pups. 2 gals, 2 boys. From top, gal, boy, gal, boy. Now to catch shut-eye while Nathan relieves me. 36 hours without sleep is tiring.

Happy Birthday Lady Abigail, Truffie, Sadie and Cody!

Roxie's duo also arrived today.

Need a Brushing Crew

Teddy has departed. Levon and Trigger has arrived. It's still cold but they are playing outside a bit more that our deep freeze days. See the gallery. This gallery was taken early today.

Just before bed Cooper will get bathed. He departs first thing and I didn't want to get up at 6am and start bathing. So, tomorrow morning he will just get lined combed. Cody and Micky will also depart. But then Alvin comes for a play day. Frannie and Ozzie will drop in. It's going to be a fun week but not sure if Kat and Truffie will survive the boyfriends coming in Wednesday. They will be here 1 week and then when Paula returns from her holiday, we will have to drive them to Barrie at the crack of dawn. It will be worth it at the end of the day.

But I have to say I surely wish I had the pool. Crossing my fingers that April is deep hot spring. hahahaha

Happy Valentine's Day

Here's a skimp gallery. I apologize but its still too cold for the dogs to run so I can snap and well its a holiday.

Dogs are loving playing indoors. We are hoping the deep cold goes soon so we or I can get back to snapping but tomorrow I have baths to do for others. Cooper will get done just before bed tomorrow night as his Momma and Daddy are coming early Tuesday. This way I can just touch him up and he won't get dirty. We will also say goodbye to Cody, Mickey and Teddy this week. But we have Levon and Trigger dropping in so a lively place will be had.

Daisy said NO WAY to going out today though we did manage to get her out she thought this was not what sane beings do.

We have plans to watch tv - perhaps something romantic and get draped by dogs. It will be a fun day and I may even have a gin and tonic. heh

We had leftover Chinese - not as good as fresh but hey we had it yesterday. Looking forward to a relaxing rest of the day, I hope.

Way Too Cold

Lifting paws is a sure sign it is too cold and if you are Daisy you lay on your tummy and lift all 4 paws and then stand on 3 legs. What a riot she is. Cooper comes in very quickly but he doesn't seem to be bothered as much. They are only out a minute or 2 or 3 at the max. It's an indoor day for the most part. It will be quick outs and ins. Here is the gallery. So this is all the photos you will get.

I think the biggest issue is humans and dogs are not used to it.

Also Spice and Jeannie are in heat so Kat has lost his mind. This is not fun seriously.

We also may do Chinese today as it is bound to be too busy even with take out. We are waiting to see when they open. They tend to come in when they come in.

Half Smile Day

Yes, this is a half smile - oh - I may be thinking up something delicious to do smile. What a riot. Love it!

We have snowflakes in the air. Dogs are still finding it too cold so not many photos but we are playing like crazy indoors. Here is a gallery. As you will notice with Cooper's hair that it's also windy on top of cold.

For Valentines Day, I may make some chicken strips for the dogs - freshly made. They have to celebrate too and I surely love them to bits - ours and those that visit! Have to make the day special for them too. May start Saturday night.

Us, we are going to do takeout Chinese. I already made a list and we are going to watch tv bathed in dogs. What better way can one spend it. May even have a drink to celebrate

Last time we went out for dinner on the 14th we had to have a set menu and someone tried to pick a fight with Nathan for accidently bumping into his girlfriend. We figure its easier going another day or staying in and getting food in. People get crazy when it is too busy.

So, if you are going out, breathe deep and just ignore and enjoy each other. If it is you and the dogs - well even better, I say. heh Dogs are the very best company ever!

Too Cold: Few More Pix Added

Yes, Daisy has the foot up. After I quickly clicked this, in she went. When a dog lifts their paws they are telling you it is uncomfie. So no wild running photos.

The blogs will be extra short but realize they are playing, They are having a ton of fun mostly indoors and they have more humans to play with. That's a win/win.

Here is today's gallery. It's not like yesterdays but hoping it warms up tomorrow and we will have another huge gallery.

Finally Snow

You finally get photos when I go out and click. I was sick all last night - not up to par but was sick of not getting many photos so I went out and clicked. Here is the gallery. It's still lightly snowing but here's hoping it stays. The dogs surely love it. It's as if they went ahhhhh its snow!

TV Room Snoozes

Here is today's gallery. We finally got a very light dusting but really unless something happens, it won't stay. Dogs were out taking advantage of it and then in usual fashion they take a nap. It is important that they do as they play so hard.

It's nice to have the grabdkids around as they get the running ala grandpa fashion.

Everyone was standing in line for their comb out this morning. They really like the Crumps Beef Tendersticks. Comb outs didn't last too long but they are knot free.

Mostly Heads

Nathan seens to be under the weather (snoring in the office) - Jon too. Me, I am just playing catchup. Looks like Jeannie may be in heat. So we play the game of separation. Here's today's gallery.

We almost had snow but it went away as fast as it came.

The dogs are LOVING having extra people around. I have to laugh as that includes the visitors. They have so many laps to choose from and so many to try to get treats from.

We had a mad game of running in the back. I rushed to get the camera and realized I didn't have a stick in it. Nathan loves when that happens.

Still, we managed to have great fun. We just didn't capture it so you will have to imagine. Sorry about that.

Late Updates

Sorry late night as it was Nathan's brother's 60th birthday party. Tracy, Dennis, the grandkids and Jon held down the fort so to speak. I just have a few photos as I really want to watch the game. They watch golf so now I get to watch football after blogs.

Rocco and Cody are also here but no photos. They are having a great time. When I say a great time - oh my gad the dogs love our grandkids being around as they also play with them.

Tomorrow I promise I will click but with the party - well I am so behind.

Such a Day

I brush Cooper out and he is a complete mess. Why? He just LOVES to go under the deck and he plays a game of hunt and seek with Spicy. It's a riot. But today, I give up. Just know he will be clean when you pick him up. heh

Oh River you are so funny playing with Patches. Such cute faces you make and Patches is find of you too.

Nothing like a visit froma brother. These two played like they never had a break from each other. It was a riot to watch.

Catch the gallery today.

Magic was also here for a trim and bath.

Just Chillin: 2 Updates Today

PJ and Lucy have departed. Today I relied on Nathan to take the photos of the adults. As usual he didn't get many but maybe I will try doing it tomorrow. :-) Here is the gallery.

Dogs are doing really well enjoying each other.

River has started sleeping with Sarah. When leads were put on Stone and River they did the bucking bronco. Oh we have work to do.

Coops decided that as soon as I watch tv my lap was it. He found that if he spread out wide that he didn't have to share except with 1 other. Yes, he knows what he is doing. It's so funny!

Chase and Fun

Nathan only took a few photos today. Not sure why but it may have something to do with the coffee maker dying before our morning coffee and running out of dog food, chicken run and a can opener dying. So, he had to do quite a bit of running around so less clicks. Here is the gallery.

Charlie was over for his grooming. He had a total blast. I do believe he missed seeing River and Stone - oh us too but nothing like some pack mates.

Soon I will be heading into the tv room and guess who will be on my lap? Coops and Teddy. After Coops gets on he spreads out so no room except for 2. That's okay. The rest snuggle on the couch with everyone else.

Warm But Windy

Cooper arrived nicely groomed and now look at him. Between the play, the wind and well just rolling around he fits in nicely as all of them despite brushing look like they haven't been touched.

Oh well - they had fun and it was warm. Now we wait for the temps to drop.

Nothing like living the life of a dawg.

Here's the gallery.

Dry Winter Day

PJ is so funny. You brush him out and he rolls in the dirt outside. If he does that tomorrow with rain coming, I ought to get some mighty interesting photos.

Here is the gallery.

Charlie thinks he is an agile being flying through the air. Have to laugh. Teddy is mighty happy as he checked out every part of the back yard and the house. I also got huge hugs from him. It made my day.

Coops comes tomorrow. We are excited.

It's been a dry day - a lull before the rain they say? Mud... and warmth? Glad my dryers are working. I may have my work cut out for me.

Nathan didn't have to drive the grandkids to school today. We actually ate breakfast together. It's the little things we so appreciate.

Oh Lucy What Happened

Lucy is usually reserved. Oh she plays but nothing like she has been. She's been a crazy play dog. Oh and when Nathan has popcorn, she jumps up on the couch, gets up to his neck and says - where's mine? She is so funny.

It has been so warm and Wednesday rain and really warm again. That means mud. Going to be some interesting looking dawgs around here. That's okay. Maybe I will click them in all their glory.

Here is today's gallery. Not many photos but we will play catch-up eventually. heh

Pay attention to the grass in the gallery. If this keeps up as a friend reminded me, we may have to mow.

Where's My Bro?: 2 Updates Today

Stone was really enjoying Alvin. I get that as River is taking a liking to hanging out in the grand daughters room. Life evolves and life changes. Everything is an adjustment.

I used chicken strips for treats after grooming lately and after Lucy was done she didn't want to wait till I broke off a piece. I think she likes them. hahaha PJ who is the usual food hound went okay, those are good but where are the Benny Bullies?

Dolly has departed and its quiet - always is after she departs as she brings such grand energy to the house. Scruffy and Pepper gave me the best love this weekend. Each time I finished a dog, its as if they knew I needed a hig. Now how intuitive is that?

Here's a few photos taken today

Next week we get to see Coops and we are excited.

Sundays

After many years, I have decided that I am taking Sundays off. It means no grooming on Sundays. It is not unusual for people to drop off dogs for grooming 7 days a week. But I am going to embrace the idea that Sundays are my less work day. Sure if somone is going home and needs a bath or grooming then so be it (I will do them first thing so I have the rest of the day) but I am trying to not be so busy that I get lost in the equation.

With extra people in the house its a whole lot of adjusting now. Everyone has their schedules and we have always in the past worked around everyone, making exceptions constantly, but I need to be proactive for me.

Sounds like a biach but everyone deserves a day off. Can you imagine if you never had one off? I hope you understand and thank you in advance for your consideration.
