1st of 3 Updates Today

Be sure to also check out Roxie's blog for a happy birthday there!

The dogs were overly hot today so I wet them down and just combed and let the air dry. The house got awfully hot despite all the windows being on and lo and behold an hour ago the air guy came and we have air.

Here is today's gallery.

As it was so hot today and I was sweating buckets, I was such a miserable soul. Now I can go back to my jovial self.

Tonight the dryer wouldn't dry. The load I put in the morning was still wet and I had a vent sensor on. Dennis was sick - really sick and Nathan did go outside to remove lint but it was me that literally had to move everything around, climb behind the dryer, remove the venting and blow it out. Then the darn hose didn't want to go back but it did. I then had to climb into the laundry sink to get out. Now that was almost impossible. You can laugh. Then I got to put it all back and then wash Charlie the puppy departing tomorrow.

It worked!! I told Nathan he is lucky to have me. Oh and pool heater is working now too. I want you to know this has been a heck of a couple of weeks for repairs.

The dogs still manage to have fun and well to be honest when I am a grouch they make me smile so there is that!

I am ever so tired. George and Ringo arrived. It's a busy long weekend. But we have air and guess what - its cold tomorrow. Now this is funny.

Pixie and Leo I hear is doing well. I am glad we have the silver linings to get us by. I am glad we have the dogs and each other and well great dog people and friends.

Just know I am cuddling with the dogs tonight WITHOUT a cooling mat to cool me down. hahahaha The house is already getting comfortable. I LOVE the gazebo. The dogs and I sat out under it on the furniture cooler than the house and it was nice.

Sorry for the late blog!

3 Updates Today: 2nd One: Happy Birthday!!!

Cooper's 7th Birthday

Dear Nathan and Darlah,

Can you believe our big boy is 7 years young today? We so remember bringing him home as a puppy. He has grown into a wonderful, gentle soul. We love him to pieces. Coop was more than happy to share his cake with Spicy, another loving, gentle soul.

Hope you enjoy those two photos.

Love, Anne, Russell, Coop & Spicy

Pixie and Leo's New Family

Pixie and Leo has a new home and they really really like them. Even Pixie who tends to assess first warmed up quite rapidly and was up to cuddles and eye contact and just plain attention. I do believe watching them they were meant to be.

These are truly wonderful people.  Pixie and Leo deserve the very best. Glad this family came into our life!

Here is the gallery.

Oh What a Day

Here is today's gallery. We had to take these early as the gazebo is getting assembled. The store said 3.5 hours the installers say 10-11 hours - oh boy.

It is going to make it hard to use the outdoors so we may have to block off a section. We are still trying to figure it out. Grey - the schnauzer LOVES, LOVES the pups and so does DimSum. Poor DimSum I keep calling her the sibling's name. My mind is going. She looks at me and ignores me and when I say Dim Sum she brightens up and goes here I am! They are so comfie here now.

Tomorrow someone comes to see Pixie and Leo. So it is a busy week.

I still need to figure out my trug. I think we have a mouse in it - joy so trying to figure out how to handle that. I also have Orchids to repot and of course baths and pups going home. I want to take a nap thinking about it.

Not to worry about the installers. We are treating it like a rainy day and they are playing hide the treat and running like hey upstairs. The dogs ar expelling their energy - so are we. Back to that nap.... hahahaha as if I ever get one of THOSE.

Wet Most of the Day

Hardly any photos in the gallery.  Sorry about that. It's hot in the house. We are having a tough time getting an air guy. Ours can come in 10 days. Those that referred others 10 to 14 days. Joy. Hoping it doesn't get too hot. Cinnamon is not happy with the heat. Ella seems fine.

Dogs had fun outside today when the rain stopped. Till then we ran upstairs with them and they were seriously miffed the rain was coming down. Me too.

Short blog today. Can't wait till the heat goes so we can be comfie. Even the pups are walking in their water dish. This too shall pass. LOL

Fun Conditioning

It is great fun when the 2 schnauzers are here. Grey just loves the pups so. The dogs get conditioned to another breed. Win/win. Everyone including the pups rather like them.

Here is the gallery.

Sorry I am so late and I may have some duplicates in the gallery. Dennis didn't take many photos and I was out with Sherry today.

So short blogs but everyone had fun. I got home and combed out dogs, washed a couple of dogs and now I am blogging it.

We are trying to find an air conditioning guy as ours can't come for 2 weeks - ouch.

Gazebo supposedly goes in tomorrow but they say 90% rain - joy. Hope the weather people are wrong. We have cleared off the entire deck.

I am looking for cilantro for the trug. If you know anywhere - have cash will buy if you are coming here - want 4 small ones - or 1 large. Or just let me know what garden center. Sheridan didn't have any.

Thank you Sherry for the fun day out. I truly enjoyed all of it.

Mother's Day

The dogs were loving watching the back yard work. We got the trug semi planted. I still need to find cilantro. I still need strawberries. It will come - maybe tomorrow as Sherry and I are going to Markville and to Sheridan. I am looking forward to it.

Here is today's gallery.

No matter how much I comb out Harlow, she really needs a bath. LOL She goes home Tuesday and will get spruced up. Murphy, Rosie and Tchibo got a bath today. I went from grooming to transplanting. Dennis took most of the photos of the pups and the adults. When he started weeding the dogs thought he was playing a game and was trying to dig too. It was a riot - especially the schnauzers. Noah and Zoe love to sit in the shade and chill. It was warm today. Scruffy and Pepper got brushed out after breakfast and look like ragamuffins. I figure cause it is Mother's Day, that's okay. No worries, Lori I did compresses twice today. I took a break from combing mine out but visitors all got groomed.

Shlomo is a classic play monkey no matter who comes in the door. Bravo to everyone that when the 2 schnauzers came, no reaction and they are all playing together. Even the puppies were fascinated by them.

Anyone going to Woofstock this year? We are going on saturday May 26th. Hope to see you there!

The dogs really enjoyed this Mother's Day. We ate Chinese. Nathan got the trug ready for me to add soil and plants. It was a welcomed surprise and so nice! Lots of work but my day has been lighter.

The gazebo goes up Tuesday so we have to remove all items off the top deck. Now pray that it doesn't rain. I really need shade in the backyard and so do the dogs. lets hope its not a long installation.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Inside and Outside Fun

The pups so enjoy the crates but they like the doors off and that's how we keep them.

Here is the gallery.

On Mother's Day I will be washing some dogs that will be departing. Today for an hour I got to go to the farmer's market. I had this window between dogs getting dropped off. heh.

I did manage to get a few plants - no soil. I need soil to plant. I have a bit.

Dennis tried to take the gazebo apart. It is slow going. He is semi feeling better.

The dogs ran, played retrieve, hung out in the sun and plain did what they wanted to when they wanted to.

It was supposed to rain but never did - hooray!

By Monday we need to clean off the deck so they can build the gazebo on Tuesday.

I still need to do the baskets. I need to finish the puppy stuff so they can go home. It's a crazy week so if I shorten blogs, please understand.

Is anyone going to Woofstock? It's May 26th and 27th. We are going on Saturday.

Thanks to Kathy I got a few herbs and boy do I love fresh herbs.

Dogs were loving being outside so much today and I think it will be more of the same. After I wash and groom dogs I may try to do my trug. We shall see. I may have to do the baskets seeing I am running out of time. LOL

Crazy Play Day

It's been a crazy play day. It's cool outside and it seems to have invigorated the dogs.

Here is the gallery.

I am heading out to dinner with the daughter tonight.

Our replacement gazebo is getting installed on Tuesday afternoon.

I have so much to do in the backyard and only a 3 week window to get it done between pups. The way Cinnamon is growing, I am concerned at how many.

Pool is still green but you can now see the bottom of the pool. That is progress. Wish they had taken some of the water out but they didn't.

I have so much on my plate but Nathan got supplies for the raffle baskets - now to finish - hoping tomorrow. Then the pups stuff to get ready before they depart - 1st in a week from now.

Air Conditioner keeps freezing over. Got to call an air guy before it gets hot.

Hoping to get new soil in my trug and take out some old. Got lots of cleanup. No furniture out till after the gazebo is placed up. The usual junk everyone has to do.... I just hope you have less on your to do list or more fun stuff.

It's a Windy Day

Wind is out strong but not as strong as the windstorm last week. I have to admit I hesitated watching it. I never did that before. It keeps threatening to rain but it isn't.

Here is today's gallery.

Shlomo got a bath today. I tried to hold off but his hair was knotting. That is an indicator that a bath is required. When no matter how thorough you wash they have knots an hour later - yep it is time. He will have another when he goes home. So, I am sort of hoping it doesn't rain.

Everyone is enjoying each other. Cara arrived and is fitting in. Willow was so pleased to see her!

They rather like the wind in their hair moments.

Pool is taking its time clearing up. It is but its a slow process. Dogs are now used to it being open.

We still have to get the gazebo out of the pit. No one has been up to it and I am not sure I can do it.

Always something...

I look forward to tv time tonight.

Heat and Hanging Out

The dogs are truly loving this warm weather. Me, I want the pool clean and warm. LOL I know too early. Our air is not working - joy.

Here is the gallery.

I have been busy creating baskets, changing out the filter in the pool, grooming and well playing with the dogs.

Its been a day and the dogs sure like outdoors. We are still cleaning up after the storm. I am yawning.

So much to do, so little time.

Slacking Day

Rheo went home today. He had a bath and a scissor cut. He was such a good boy. Dusty also departed. Sebastian arrived.

Here is only 7 photos - sorry. It has been a busy day.

We had the pool open and it was mighty green. It is actually starting to clean up. At first the breaker wouldn't work. So, I went out and flicked it 10 times or whatever number of times and voila it worked. We need to get an electrician to fix it but as long as you leave it on and shut down everything another way, it works so we can wait for that. LOL

Before the pool opened I had to go out and pressure wash it after yesterdays pumping the water off. Dennis is sick.

Then we had visitors as you will see in the Safi videos. The pups were ramunctious - I mean Kai, Spirit and Willow. Maybe too much so as they had just woken up from a nap.

Then our air froze over so I had to go clean the unit, use the steamer to melt the ice and pray it works. so far it seems to be. I told Nathan he best be glad he has me to do all this stuff. LOL

So too busy to take photos but we did acquaint them with the pool and as always we are out with them. Dogs are waiting for tv time - their most fave time of teh day - seriously. So I must finish the blogs, heh. Well, that's my excuse.

Tomorrow someone comes to see Leo and Pixie. It's a busy week and yes, I am still sick.

Moments in the Sun

It's been a day. I did get the dogs brushed up. The pool was pumped off by me and Nathan as Dennis is sick. I am still bloody sick but each day is an improvement. Pumping off the pool with a wet and dry vac was a tad ridiculous and the dogs thought it was great fun so I spent half my time getting them not to run on the pool cover.

The pool gets opened tomorrow thus the need to pump it off. Spicy, Cooper, Pippin and Murphy departed or departs today.

Noah and Zoe have become quite a riot to watch. They have their place in bed. They have their place in the tv room and well its my spot - don't you know?

Here is a small gallery.

Clarity is having a blast barking at the squirrels. When we tell her to stop barking she looks like a lost soul a bit miffed that we are spoiling her fun. LOL

Harlow has been playing with Stormy quite a bit. It's nice to watch them.

Both Ella and Cinnamon have a tummy now.

Pixie and Leo have a visitor this week.

Just a Sunday

It's one of THOSE days. It's muggy. My chairs are not in the right spot and we think we have a leak in the wall now so its not just the kitchen faucet or sink. So, no bath for girl Murphy. I just finished Cooper and Spicy as he said no more water for 4 plus hours. I did Amy and Chester this morning. I just ran out of time for Murphy - sigh.

Yes, we have boy Murphy here too.

The 2 girls are starting to feel pregnant and are now eating better though they get queasy at times.

Been a mighty expensive few days. LOL

I think Ella has Spicy's ribbon on. I may have to take it off to give it back or put a clip with jewels on it for the Spice one.

I was going to do Spice and Cooper just before bed but when the guy said no, can't do well... it is what it is.

Dogs are still having a great time. Its warm enough to be enjoyable but not so warm that it is uncomfortable without shade. At the moment we only have shade at the back of the yard under the tree.

Gazebo is still in the pit - underground level patio. Too much to do, too little time. LOL

Going to miss the Spice and Cooper but it was great to have them here. I think I can make a pillow out of Cooper's hair. hahaha

Very small gallery

Short Blog

Ines Plays with PupsTomorrow and today we have no galleries and short blogs. It's the price we pay for too much on our plate. Today we had a leaking broken faucet where the faucet is laying sideways in the sink and is literally leaking. Plumber came today during the 8 week visit - such timing. He comes tomorrow afternoon to fix it.

Had to go buy a faucet, shut off valves etc. We have no shut offs only the main will shut off the sink. Got to bloody love it.

Today I pressure washed the deck again as we had soil all over it and I mean all over it along with branches and all sorts of debris.

I now have to play catch up on my grooming. Tomorrow I have a full day of grooming - not my usual Sunday that I try to take off. Thus the short blog tomorrow or no gallery.

Dogs are all well. They love playing with the pups.

Two of them was nervous in the storm but Nathan did a great job distracting them. He is so amazing!

Tomorrow, a ton on my plate so bear with me, please. I will get back to doing galleries, I promise.

If you want to see puppy fun, I do have a gallery of the 8 week visit on Saffron's blog

What a Day

Looking at Cooper here he doesn't even look like I touched him. But today, after this photo I spent 2.5 hours on the table with him cause I keep looking at him and he doesn't look thinner. But I feel him and he does. He has so much body in his hair that it looks full despite less hair.

We had a rain and wind storm after I pressure washed the deck. Why me? Well we have an 8 week visit and Dennis is now sick with the flu. I am still sick and Nathan has a foot that is bothering him. What a sad lot we are. So sad you have to laugh.

Poor Noah and Zoe was afraid of the storm. We turned on the tv loud. Our gazebo top broke apart in pieces flying everywhere. Oh joy. Now it flew at the house and ended up in our below ground patio. The other buckled. We still have lulls and bad wind with everything flying. Much to clean up for our 8 week visit. May not get it all done, I am afraid. :-( What a costly storm.

Did I say I got soaked pressure washing. Good thing its warm today. I am too sick to pressure wash the pathways. It will have to wait.

I washed 3 pups at once, 3 pups again and then Mommy Safi.

Here is today's gallery.

Can we start the day over again or can I just crawl into bed - please?

Dogs are wonderful. Without that man of mine and the dawgs.... I don't know.

Wet and Muggy

Dogs are a messy crew. I did comb out before I departed but they don't look like it and well we will get back to it tomorrow. Cooper will get a bit of a thinning tonight. I do a little each day. I have taken a LOT of hair out but still he doesn't look thinner. heh Well, I still have time.

Yesterday Cooper got up on my grooming table by himself - the one in the kitchen. I guess he likes grooming or its the treats. hahahahaha I have never had a dog climb up on the table himself.

As I am typing, Spicy is manuevering blankets on my couch and doing some housekeeping.

Here is the gallery such as it is considering I was gone a good chunk of time. Dennis said he couldn't click as he was just too busy as they came in the door between the muddy paw prints and rinsing their feet... well you understand and if not - I do!

I am coughing less. Thanks to some yucky cough meds.

Clarity and Farley will be departing tonight. The squirrels will miss Clarity and Brewer who love to chase and bark at them. LOL

Rheo and Ty are in LOVE with the pups. Rheo - okay but Ty is older and yes, he loves the pups.

Coco was here for the day. Barney departs tomorrow. He gets a bath and cut first thing in the morning after breakfast. :-)

Yesterday the house was very hot. Today we broke down and put the air on. We don't need cranky humans and dogs. hahaha Besides it only turns on when it is too hot.

Hot Day Today

Saffron is really enjoying her time with her Momma Spice. It's interesting to watch. They lay together in teh same room as the pups and watch them. It is endearing. It doesn't happen all the time but some of the time.

Here is the gallery.

I am getting everyone brushed out. Working on thinning Coops each day but I am not doing all the things that Dennis would like - like getting furniture out, cleaning out the pool house and all that fun stuff. Really - I am not up for it. I mentioned digging out my middle bed so I can layout the flagstone and I got rolling eyes. So, that will wait till I am better, I suppose.

Our pool is not open yet. they did say this week...hmmm The sprinklers are getting turned on as I type. We have not turned on the air nut I did put cooling mats out and well they are hogging them. It is actually a feel like 82F - 28c today - can you believe? But Nathan says its in the 60s tomorrow so no air. hahahahahaha Besides I have to steam clean it when I feel better and must do it before we turn it on. Besides I can't tell if its heat or me. LOL

Thank you goes to Kathy - Kona's mom who left herbs and toys for the raffle - most appreciated. Glad you didn't get the opportunity to get this. I would feel awful. it seems to want to be my best pal and hang on and on and on.

Here is a photo of Pixie and Leo (leo is sitting). I am posting for those that asked. We do have one family coming out in a few days or so and we will take it from there.

Glorious Day

It was a glorious hot day out and Cooper decided inside was better than out and Spice thought outside was better than in. Heh how alike they are. :-)

Here is today's gallery.

I am not 100% yet. I call me 40%. heh Did try to help Dennis empty the pool house as we have the pool people coming this week and he found a just died 20lb racoon - joy - not so he got to dispose of that and keep it away from any dogs then he took a hot shower. We think it must have died from old age.

Anyone who knows Dennis knows he doesn't do well with even a bug dying.

Dogs are having a glorious time. They do so enjoy the day. Today I am not sure who I clicked and who I didn't. As I said 40% but I am so trying.

Thank you to Angela for a beautiful quilt - a best in show one. We are going to use it in the 8 week visit so remind me if its not out there. It's simply gorgeous.

Tonight we pick up Pixie and Leo downtown in rush hour. We will have them at our place as we are going to try to place them together. If we must,  we will separate but we so want to place them together as they are bonded. So, if you know of anyone interested, let us know.

Rheo and Cooper seem to be best of pals today. It was wonderful to watch and Farley he got into it as well. Clarity - well Clarity tried to tell Farley you are mine. LOL

Sunning, Playing and Hanging

That about sums it up. Yes sunning - a proiority. So is investigating, chasing squirrels and plain playing.

Here is the gallery.

Patches and Radar got to be in with the puppies. You will see it in a couple of videos.

Everyone is enjoying this sunshine. I got to go out. Not well yet. Indeed not but I am trying and I haven't stopped today but need to.

Dennis started cleaning some of the backyard. He has to empty the pool house before the guys come to open the pool. There is so much to do so I need to get well.

I did manage to comb out except Shoshi and Nathan brushed out the puppies.

I am trying to get the blog done early so I can rest in a recliner.

Patches and Radar departed. It was delightful to have them.  Bria goes tonight. She's a pistol. Everyone so enjoys each other. it's rather nice! Think Rheo is missing his brother Tchibo.
