Rain Go Away

Stormy and SpiritThe dogs played outside and had a blast and then the rain came. Now they sniff at the door and say - I think not. I get that! Supposedly we have rain for an entire week - joy. Oh well, at least I got the pups out a day ago.

I am adjusting to no Risa. Miss her like crazy but I am starting to adjust. Not 100% but getting there. The dogs are too. Think I will always miss her though.

Still looking for donations for baskets at the specialty. I have very little, to be honest. I had so many last time we did a fundraiser. If there is a toy you do not want and never used - or anything dog related or not dog related - we could use your help. I hate to ask but 1 thing from each person would really really help. Thank you to those that have donated. It is so appreciated!

It is rainy days like this that I dream of having a bubble over my yard. If I ever won the lottery - what I could do. To dream...lol

Boy Do They Play

Marco and Tchibo is having a blast but brusha brusha for them. I brush, they get a mess minutes later. Good thing both are quite fine with comb-outs. Tchibo departs tomorrow.

Girls are almost out of heat. I can't wait. It's time.... 

When we have pups and girls in heat we sleep all over the place. Two nights ago Jon took the boys and they had a boys fest in Jon's room in the basement. It's a huge area with couches, chairs, tv etc They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Last night Nathan took the boys to the guestroom. Jon got the girls in heat. We try to mix it up and make sure everyone has different exposures but when the heats are over, they all come back to us unless Jon steals a dog or two as he most often does. Stormy can't wait to go downstairs. Hmmm wonder what treats Jon is giving them. LOL 

Sunning

We had a fun day sunning and hanging outside. As the human who does this blog was out for a bit of the day, the blog will be short.

Yes Fun Times

This is Marco and Harlow. Harlow has never visited before. She came in a bit unsure and then she relaxed and played. It was wonderful to see. What a fun dog indeed. Koko also came for a day visit and this was Koko's 2nd time. Koko was already familar and got into it quickly. It was truly fun to watch.

Tchibo arrived and we had Marco out to say hello. As soon as his humans departed, Tchibo and Marco played. Everyone played REALLY well and some even sunbaked. I thought it was cool but the dogs were loving the sun.

Murphy had a bath tonight as she is going home tomorrow after Sherry and I go out. So, I took the opportunity to click some photos quickly. I hope you enjoy!

In 2 weeks we will have a 6 week visit with Saffron's pups and on Ella and Cinnamon's blog I placed up a pregnancy calendar.

Priceless Face

This is Marco looking at the pups as if they lost their mind. So funny. Marco arrived today and is doing really well. He's playing and playing or posing for the camera - seriously he poses for the camera. Love it!

Tomorrow Koko for the day, Tchibo, Logan and Panda come. It is Lynda's brthday on Sunday. Know she doesn't feel like celebrating but her family is making sure she has distractions. I am ever so glad. I know about needing distractions. I will get Logan and Panda bathed tomorrow so they head home clean on Monday. Monday Sherry and I finally go out. I need a distraction too. This too shall pass. 

Dogs have literally been having a blast and I mean a blast. Usually I have a gate across teh stairs so the gang can't go upstairs but I forgot so everyone was running all over the place. Benji was the last to come down.

I am not sure about you but Nathan clean outside so many times a day. I was doing photos and was seeing what I thought was output on the deck. I was ready to chastise Nathan. So, I head outside and its a bloody leaf. Shows you where my silly mind is. Now if I could only get the leaves from sticking in their hair so it litters my floor, I may be smiling. Then I do smile and go - that's a sign of the dogs having fun. So teh floor gets leaf decor. hahahaha

Oh the Fun of It

Tenshi, Bonnie, Murphy plus the crew had a blast. I wish I had a full day with them but we were at the vets with Ella. See her blog. See Cinnamon's blog too. Cinnamon has a brand new blog.

Dennis is so great with the dogs. I am glad he clicked some of the photos today. I clicked some too. 

We had a long howling fun session to the vets for an hour and 15 minutes. Nathan gets to do it by himself tomorrow. We actually took Stone in one crate and Truffie in another and Ella on my lap so Dennis had some sanity but I heard Kat howled so he wasn't missing anything. I will be glad when the heat business is over. 

By the time we got back the dogs played so hard they were exhausted. 

I have to say Bonnie is quite the character. Tenshi just loved her and well I get that as she is quite the character as well. The way they play is a riot! 

Tonight Saffron was going out and Murphy goes running outside with her. She was jumping and playing with Safi and I smiled and said wow they are still so close - how nice!

After Storm

Well we had a dusting this morning that melted fast. Our gazebo has a leg bent but still usable from the wind storm. It really was a bad storm. It's a miracle it survived.

Our car is in the transmission place. It has been since the day after Risa left us. Part of the rest of the story is when we were on our way back from the vets on Easter - April Fools Day our van kept shifting by itself. So we called yesterday hoping it was ready - they said no van. We called today and they said next week. We have parts on order. Oh my. So Nathan is now renting a car. You do what you have to.

Monday Sherry and I are going out to Pacific Mall so I am not sure how many photos I will get - maybe just 1 on each blog. We shall see. The guys aren't taking photos. It's just a transition period. I was supposed to be going tomorrow but something important came up. Fun...

We do not have any extra dogs. Tomorrow Bonnie visits for the day - oh is she such fun. I am taking the day off - grooming and otherwise. I will miss seeing Bonnie but I need the distraction and Nathan gets Bonnie all to himself. He will be happy as he thinks I hog all the dogs.

Spirit went for her rabies and she is now 6.5lbs

It's sunny. The snow this afternoon did not come. Weather people.... Can we truly get spring now?

Good Distraction

Charlie came to visit and they played and played and played. Spirit and Charlie not only recognized each other but they couldn't get enough of each other.

It was so windy that I thought the dogs would fly all over. The pups could care less and Shoshi and Brewer thought this wind was grand fun. Our gazebo keeps flying here and there as we try to brace it up aianst the railing in hopes we keep it intact.

They say snow is coming. We have had hail. 

This wind whistling has also been good for Safi's pups so they hear it. They too are starting to get really active. It's nice!

Lynda did indeed lose her mom. It's been a heck of a week. Hugs...

I am TRYING

Leti and her pup Spirit no longer fit in the same crate. Spirit doesn't usually eat in a crate. But she has decided to wait till everyone is done and can't figure out why Willow has attempted to eat it all.

We had visitors today and well Nathan had visitors as I was crying my head off. I felt mighty rude and guilty but I didn't want to be in that state on a first meeting. I have these bouts of overwhelming sadness. I hate how out of control it all is but it too shall pass. I do so miss Risa. I am lucky to have so many memories.

Last night the dogs didn't look for her. I still turned on the fan and left it on. It was something that Risa enjoyed and now it is habit. When Dennis is banging around downstairs it drowns out the sound.

Today we have had massive hail. The boys didn't care. Ella stood on the chairs as if she was and is queen and I suppose she may be but Roxie may think otherwise. 

The schnauzers departed and they play so well with the dogs that they are sorely missed. They are lovely dogs - Ash and Gray. We enjoy them so. I like the dogs having exposures to friendly breeds that are not havanese at times. 

The 3 pups went to a play session. There will not be another till next month. Gillian is off to England. They had fun but watching 3 at once in a sea of dogs was a good focus. 

Tomorrow Charlie comes for a play session tomorrow. We are so looking forward to it but can the hail go away?

Friday Sherry and I head to massage chairs in Pacific mall. It will be a fun distraction. I so need it.

A Day

Sorry hardly any photos today. I washed two dogs - Stone and Cinnamon who was overdue and i am not sure how I got those done. nathan is determined to keep me crazy busy so I don't think, I suppose. It doesn't work.

But we are off to class with 3 pups tonight - a play session.

New Friends

Tuffy is not one of ours but we had a great time with him today. As you can see, he always attempts flying. We enjoyed him immensely!

In among a very tough night and day we still manage to make sure the dogs have fun. When they have fun it gives me smiles.

Elvis departed - so did Bria and Tuffy. 

We lost Risa today. She jumped for her dinner last night. We went out last night to meet our daughter's inlaws to be. We got called from our son that something was wrong with Risa. We believed she had a stroke. Then today she had several seizures. I posted photos on Facebook. I am spent and can't write anymore. It's a gin night and I have already poured a drink. I miss her so and Nathan is exhausted as he stayed up with her all night. I could tell you funny stories about her... indeed a great grand dam!

Sorry... its all I have.

Mucky Outside Clean Inside

This is going to be short. We have Bria and Amy visiting - so nice. Bria departs tomorrow and Amy tonight. Elvis departs tomorrow. Tuffy visits us tomorrow.

The two dogs that were coming have found a home before they arrived. We are happy for them.

I am still sick but we have a meet our daughter's mother-in-law's to be surprise birthday party to attend so we will do the best we can. Nathan doesn't want to go by himself so... 

I had a number of dogs to get ready for Easter. By the last one, I wished I was crawling into bed. Nathan is tired despite a short nap. 

Dogs are bringing in twigs and all sorts of fun stuff. Too much brushing. Tomorrow only 2 baths and I may not even have to comb my own and truly rest after that. We shall see.

My PVR keeps filling up. I need some down time to make some space. Do you have that problem too?\

Oh I so wish my body gets well tomorrow. 

Quiet Day

Good Friday, Happy Easter weekend and the start of Passover..... No matter what you celebrate, may it be one filled with memories.

I made it to the pet show with 2 immodiums and not eating. LOL It was way too busy by the time we departed. Managed to get a few beds and a stool and a hard decorated tunnel. Enjoyed seeing old and new vendors. 

Picture this, 2 bernese sprawled across the aisle and the owner not caring if you had no room to get by. Then we had vendors that were incredibly nice. The crowds came and I mean the crowds came and we had to depart. 

Got home, thought I did well so let's eat. Guess its way too early to eat. Back in recliner after this. Joy... not

This is a big eating weekend for you that celebrate. It isn't happening here. I celebrate that I made it to the pet show and I came back, combed a few and played with pups. Food is not my friend. It is what it is. 

So enjoy your holiday weekend. Cuddle with your havs even if you are sick like me. It's the best medicine!

Rain, Rain

They were all combed out but I am not even going to show you Elvis. He rolled into the mud under the tree and oh boy hose off time for him. Got to laugh. 

Very short blog as I am still sick - sorry. Everyone is getting wet.

Fun Times

Only Logan, Panda, Elvis and Murphy are here at the moment. I am still not whole. I may lay on the couch and watch tv. I did manage to get the dogs combed out and the puppies washed. Tomorrow, if I am up to it I will do Saffron.

Not much to report. Dogs make me laugh. They put up with me grooming and they got antlers today to munch on - yum!

Logan and Panda are here till it is needed. Lynda's mom is well not doing well. The nursing home called to tell her to gather the family and come so hugs and good vibes to Lynda, Gallan and the entire family. I was blessed to have met her. She is such a character. Thinking about all of you. Too many good friends lately...

It's a Day

It's a no photo day. Just not up to standing in rain to take photos when I am not feeling well. 

Shlomo and Frannie departed today.

Amy came to visit and it's her humans 40th anniversary!! Happy anniversary. 

Tomorrow Reggie departs and his human mom and dad had a baby so Reggie has a new brother - wow!!

Saturday we are getting in 2 adult dogs in that we know well. We will be rehoming them hopefully together as they are bonded. More info Saturday.

We are going to go to the Canadian Pet Show Friday. I try to go yearly. Seeing I didn't get to do the March on my birthday, I really do not want to miss this as well.  I already had tix when someone asked me to groom their dog so we are figuring it out - maybe Thursday or Saturday. 

I am still sick but doing what I have to. Nathan is sick and getting a nap in. Good for him but wish it was me.

That's it - got to groom Brewer, Logan and Panda before they depart. Then I crawl into a recliner or maybe bed.

I am a Mess

I am grooming as much as I can but I think I have some cruddy thing going on. So, I do what I can, I don't do what I can put off till tomorrow. Raven is my dog so she can wait till tomorrow.

Observing

It's melting and the squirrels and birds are driving the poor dogs crazy. They want to chase, bark and have fun with all this activity. I think the squirrels and birds actually enjoy the attention - a bit of a nah nah game.

I washed Stormy's hair today and she looks like I never touched her. She certainly lives up to her name.

We went from a full house to less activity. Elvis is playing a ton with Reggie and the pups. Frannie is enjoying the adults. Shlomo just loves anyone who will play with him and that they do. It's a good mix.

Not Many Photos

Didn't get to go downtown. Dennis was tired and well too much for him to stay up after a long night so we went out for a Lobster Roll (yum) and went to a grocery store called Farm Boy. I wasn't impressed but we did buy wonderful sushi for Nathan and well we got a few more things. 

It's a no grooming day. Nathan will have to groom Thunder before he goes home. I hope he is thorough and I am not helping the feeding at night. So, time off. It's my big present. LOL

Two Updates Today

Patches has such an expressive face. They came - Radar and Patches and went and we enjoyed them immensely!

Tonight Olive, 3rd birthday gal will be departing and so will Pixie and Leo. Indeed missed! The house is emptying out but Thunder came for a visit - so more puppy fun and Murphy who we adore. How lucky can we get.

Tomorrow we are going to try to go downtown for the March and then out to eat but that makes a long day for Dennis so we shall see. The pups are at a point where they can find mom so I am hoping he sleeps some. Maybe instead of the march I will get my scissors sharpened - hahahahaha

Spirit was lucky to have her brother Charlie visiting us today. We adore him and Leti and Spirit was in heaven. Even Stone perked up. 

By the way, for those that asked - the mattress from the home show is wonderful. It was so cheap Dennis kept telling me it would never get delivered. Got to love it. 

Well dogs are happy with this warmer weather. They are having fun. Are you enjoying it as well?
