Having Fun

Safi gals are now starting to get out when the adults get out. We do this in stages and it works. The adults have been having a blast but due to Jeannie's temperature dropping and panting now we okay I had to go crazy washing everyone that was supposed to be washed tomorrow. To say I am going crazy is an understatement. I am eating popcorn for dinner and feverishly trying to update the blogs.

I had to cancel going out to dinner and well a friend is now very upset. It was for the right reason as Dennis can't deliver pups and well its not like Jeannie did this on purpose to me. I really really wish I could have gone but oh well. If they don't understand - well...

Dogs have been having an immense amount of fun. Me not so much but I alwauys seem to juggle like an insane person just in case. Its better than saying oh well we had pups so I can't do your dog. But if I waited till tomorrow that is what I would be doing. Still, I do have 1 dog to do tomorrow. I hope its not a long night.

I posted a photo of Teddy on facebook. It was so cute. He was so stressed....not! This is the sort of thing that makes me so happy seeing them relaxed and enjoying. 

Due to rain no one looks like I washed them but a good comb out and they look better and a foot wash even better. 

Hoping its not a long night. We shall see!

Happy 6th Birthday

Hi Darlah and Nathan!

Today is a special day.  We wanted wish Lola and her litter mates Benji, Simba, Poppins, and Chloe a wonderful 6th birthday.  Time has flown by so quickly and we love her more and more every day.

I will play catchup with the gallery tomorrow. I am having software issues importing the files so.... tomorrow. Besides, I am still grooming. I even got hardly any photos of anyone today. Can you believe these 3 were perfectly groomed? What a joke.... rain... glorious rain. This crew says - I know what that wet stuff is and no thanks!!

Lola and Halloween: 2 Updates Today

Oh My

We are all messy today - well we started out that way. I have been grooming my ahem off. It rains and oh my gad do they get messy! I just finished and thought real hard about am I doing the blog? Well I have never missed a day so I figure a short one is better than none. 

Rusty and Logan played with the pups today. I am trying to upload a video of it. Saffron wasn't so sure about Rusty so she corrected him. He wagged his tail and she said I guess he's okay.

Today I had to do baths for a few of my own too. Yes, they need to be done too so Raven still looks beautiful. Stormy looked a wreck but clean 5 minutes later. Oh boy she lives up to her name. Ms. Ella was also cleaned and she still looks good. Then I had a full day of grooming for others.

Coco and Doozie departed. So did Odin and Mia and all needed baths and clips and then I had Rusty. Thank you for the bagels and cream cheese. Yum. I actually ate my bagel in the grooming room. Don't ever do that unless you want to eat hair. yuck! But I had no time. 

Tomorrow another full day of grooming. Actually for many days a full day of grooming.

Leader of the pack.... Tenshi may be small in stature but is big in personality and ability. I just laugh when she is here. Everyone in that crew is so delightful!

Well not much of an update today. I apologize. Dogs have had a ton of fun. We have extra dogs here due to Halloween. So our lights will go off in front and well we forgot the candy anyways. :-(Besides the dogs barking may make for a not fun experience for little ones. 

Dogs are staying overnight to avoid the fun at their house. :-)

Crazy Day

Mickey is going home tonight and we will miss his fun. I got him all ready and he rolled and smooshed his face. I just had to laugh.

Murphy also just departed. We always miss her. I hear tell she is doing a Halloween event. Can't wait to see the photos. Thank you truly for the salsa, chips and con queso. So nice!! 

I had one of those days. I spent over 4 hours doing one dog, a few on another. I combed out all the dogs and Stormy was a mess as she just makes sure she has fun. Ah to be a dawg.

We had visitors. I juggled with Adele. I make sure she has all her pups on or I make sure someone else does as I watch the camera on my ipad. When I was finally finished I sat down and Nathan yelled one puppy is not on. I said I know dear. I am here and he just finished. I think he was getting me back for telling him to make sure they are all on. 

I am exhausted today. If it wasn't for that rain I would have had an easier time. Here's to sleep.

The dogs enjoyed visitors and Dennis running around like a maniac and a great game of retrieve. I do believe all the dogs will sleep soundly tonight.

Late Update

Between Tracy, Kevin and Dani coming, the 8 week visit and all the grooming - well I am extra late. I apologize but I would like to say tomorrow will be just as bad - and more rain they say.

Happy 7th Birthday

Forgive me but I am working on 3 hours sleep in 2 days. This is Doozie and taking it was so funny as she tried ever so hard to get that thing off her head. Doozie got an antler and she is coveting it.Good thing she had a bath the other day but you can hardly tell as she is playing so hard and getting ever so dirty as they all are. This will be my only update in this blog today. We are taking photos but will play catchup tomorrow. Thanks for understanding! I am even having a non groom day and cancelled any haircuts. I had to. Nathan heads to vets this afternoon and is sleeping now.

From Anne: Here are three birthday photos of Spicy: notice in the first pic, the cake is intact. In the second, she gobbled up the cookie. Then, she insisted on sharing her cake with Cooper, so sweet.

From me: Happy birthday, Spicy, Doozie (photo coming when I am alive as she is here), Pacho, Gracie, Charlie, Marlee Sue and the late Baxter who died from a car accident. 

I can't believe Adele's litter is sharing a birthday (not year) with you. This is the very first time this has happened!

No Gallery Day

Just too much to do a gallery today. Dogs are playing. I am just sticking to Adele like glue. Isn't Farley the cutest thing with that understated smile?

Dogs are napping with Nathan in case its a long night. 

Everyone is doing well. I am slowly getting everyone groomed. Now taking pups out. Nathan is going to watch Adele. He is now up but wants to go upstairs now.

Messy Looks

It took me till tonight to get everyone brushed but you will see the non brushed look in the gallery. You see I had a very busy schedule so Nathan took photos (me too) and tried to take video (me too). It was a busy day. So Nathan took Adele up for a nap and well she panted and drove him crazy (what I do when they go into labour in a different room so he can get sleep. 

Then I tried to take a nap on the couch and well she did the same to me. Now she is chewing on a bone happy as a lark. 

Last night I stayed up to do another coat on the door. I have to replace the kick plate or whatever they call it but not perfect but done. It took till 130 last night as I took a tiny paintbrush to get all those small spots that seem to grow as I did it. hahahaha

Everyone is enjoying each other. They played and played today! See Tenshi and Raven run.

At this point I hope I get a full night sleep. I need it!

I give up on Adele - well not really but I am sure you understand.

Short Blog

Mothers have a great deal of work and it is so important for them to have balance. Saffron is so lucky that she has pups that are not demanding and she gets to rest between.

It's another rainy day. Hardly took any photos. Had a full day of grooming. Kat was running around like his life depended on it. He was having a great time with this cooler weather.

We are still in wait with Adele. 

Mickey, Odin and Cody enjoy each other. Cody departs tomorrow. We will miss him! Coco and Doozie had their mid visit baths. They will get another before departure. (Mom request). We are now insisting baths get done if dogs are here for 2 plus weeks. Katie is eating really well. 

We have a crazy week. We have Adele watch, balancing grooming and a vet visit and puppy visit. Oh boy. Let's see how much I can or can't participate in. We will see what life throws at us. 

Rain Play

This was Katie before her bath today. 

This was Katie after her bath. I still have to scissor her more but she is clean now.

Katie is here unexpected as her mom is quite ill in the hospital so please keep Ruth in your prayers.

Adele has been panting but nothing else so scissoring was not a focus and Katie is here for a bit. I may have to give her another bath as it is raining. Go figure.

I did get everyone combed out but they look like wet rags. It is raining and it started while we were midstream playing a game of retrieve. Some sat and watched and some ran their fool heads off. 

Earlier we had a fun one of Saffron and Raven worth watching. It is interesting to see how they play the game together. Do you know why?

Sun Times

Pippin and his love in with Nathan. Pippin departed today. We will miss him. Oscar also departed - sorely missed!

I am tired today. Had a long night with the door then when I crawled in bed Adele was panting. Nothing happened beyond that. Then I woke up to complaints about the door so.......... short blog. We managed to have fun. 

We had a puppy potential family over. I groomed all the dogs. Pippin was muddy as all get out. Stone too. Boys will be boys.

Wild Play

We had a full house by afternoon today. Something about warm weather and people wanting to go out. By tomorrow it empties out again. Funny how that worked out. Pippin was one of the guys for the weekend and as you will see he is having a total blast. I am shocked he is not taking naps. Maybe at tv time.

I got everyone combed out though you can't hardly tell with some of them. We had wild running play. A fun time was had by all!

This blog is going to be short as I have to tape a door and paint tonight. Nathan got a small can so hope its sufficient. It's supposed to be a 1 coat paint. He's cringing as I am going dark but I am tired of the light door and it always looking grungy. We shall see. Nathan will sleep. I will paint. It will either work or not. hahahaha

At least Adele is so far cooperating.

What a Fun Bunch: Added More Photos to Gallery

Scruffy and Pepper are having a complete blast! Unfortunately they depart tonight. Oscar and Mickey arrived this afternoon and Magic is here for play today and a bath and trim. The weather is perfect but I have to get back to grooming. 

The Stormy breaking throughI am feverishly trying to get everyone done and then Adele one of these days will totally throw my schedule out the window. I live for it. lol

Oh and I am trying to paint a door at 10pm one day this weekend before it gets cold in hopes it is dry by morning. I don't have the paint yet so maybe this is a pipe dream but I am tired of the back patio doors looking like grunge due to dogs. It is time to go dark - I think. Praying pups don't come as that will change all plans.

Love and Relationships

Doozie and Coco have a truly outstanding relationship with each other. It is endearing!

It's interesting to watch the relationships that are created or exist. I notice Tenshi and Saffron playing like they are never apart. Tchibo was climbing over his mom and kissing her and she cleans him up as if he never left. 

Today Brewski ran on the cover and slid rolling over and got up with this huge grin on his face. Odin, he just plays like he can't get enough. Boy does he have energy. Penny is the queen and she lets everyone know. 

Scruffy and Pepper are back playing separate. It's nice to see. They check in on each other but they also play independent. They adore each other. Life and relationships - precious in the dog world.

Covered Today

Got the cover on. Have a couple of holes but nothing serious. We lived with them last year. Hoping next we find someone to repair.

Dogs loved the cover and managed to get SOAKED. They do lower the water so after today unless it rains they will stay dry. Today the cover got in the water as they were hooking so it was mighty wet as you will see in the gallery.

Everyone had a blast. i did comb out but I soon gave up. It was seriously ridiculous attempting to do so but at least I know they are knot free.

Patches and Radar came today and depart tonight. Shlomo also visited and gout spruced up from table to mom so he didn't get dirty. Tchibo departs tomorrow and we will attempt to keep him clean. lol. 

Coco and Doozie are loving the recliner and looks at me miffed if I want to get in too. lol

It was a great day but as you see grooming and setting up for Adele, I am late. Doubt I will get tv time tonight. Oh well.... Nathan will get all the dawg love!

Very Short Blog Today

I thought I could take a wand and groom and get everything ready for Adele and take photos and and and and and but it's not possible. So short blog today. Adele's area is still not done and most likely not till tomorrow. All the dogs are having fun. I am almost done grooming. The 2 others will be done on my lap tonight. They like that!

Watching the Pups

The dogs look like a motley crew. If this weather keeps up how are we ever going to stay clean? 

I do brush them. I sort have been conditioned and like them looking messy. Ever comb and immediately they roll as if to say - fill in the blank.

Our daughter just picked up River and Adele remains. Good thing this is her home too. She adjusted to their departure immediately.
