This was Tenshi in her fave spot when she was here. Happy birthday!! She is now home celebrating.
Its been a day of falling behind. Harlow had a great visit with her human dad. She was happy - he was happy - success!
I am trying to finish off a goal of 1 milllion points in exercise. I am still 10,000 away and my goal is to finish Friday. I need to check my sanity but my next goal is a much lighter schedule so getting it done is a good thing.
Dogs - many to groom. Same schedule tomorrow.
Dogs had a ton of fun and I mean a ton today.
Life was grand in the dog world for all here!
Harlow was at the vet and she is actually enjoying the vet. I think she thinks of these visits of her feeling much better and she does. She was back outside not snoozing on the couch but looking around for what I imagine is critters but the rabbits have moved on. I love seeing her this way. She gets to see her human Daddy tomorrow and he brings her her fave meal - a cheeseburger. Yum!
We had a busy house. I had a ton of grooming. Yoshi is not feeling so hot. See her blog.
The dogs have been playing with the cooler weather as if the coolness has invigorated them. Me, I still want to swim but it is cool. You snooze - you lose.
The dogs are happy and that makes me happy!
The weather is very cool and the dogs played like crazy outdoors. Harlow and Buddy laid next to each other on the couch. Buddy departed. Harlow may have to get drained again soon.
The dogs ran, played and had a roaring grand time. Many departed today. School will begin and the visitors will drop off as people don't go away.
I did a lot of grooming today as dogs departed. Air Canada is giving grief to some trying to get home still.
Dogs have enjoyed being outside immensely.
Harlow and Buddy fell asleep on the couch outside while Dennis sat with them.
It was a GREAT day for the dogs weather wise and fun wise.
I still have quite a few to comb out but really want to crawl on to the couch and nap.
Nes was here for a groom and played his heart out. He so enjoys it. We have a number of dogs here for the day or overnight.
Nathan soaked his back in the pool. I haven't been in the pool in so long. It has been a summer.
I am tired so we are short blogging. I even got the puppy blogs done late as I was grooming. Sorry about that!
The dogs are having an immense amount of fun!
We drive all the way out to Fortinos in Woodbridge as they are the only ones that carry Italian Ice, that I know of. I get the rainbow, lemon and orange. The rest are awful - incase you like Italian Ice too. It is a drive and wish we had one closer to us.
I also had to go to Deboers to get a battery for my clipper. My old battery lasts about 10 to 15 minutes - not enough time. They don't make these particular clippers anymore so when this battery goes, I am told I need to buy a new clipper. Not sure why the batteries will no longer be made. Like anything, they want you to buy new but when it works - well why?
We had dogs come and go today. They so enjoy hanging outdoors with Dennis. The weather is warm but not hot. It is enjoyable. Those that don't want to go outside at a given time find Nathan and the tv room comfie. I have dogs that I rotate out in the room the pusp in so I can comb them out, check bums, ears etc
We have been going to bed earlier lately. The dogs don't mind and its only a half hour earlier. I am sure some dogs know the time but others don't. But last night Ziggy jumped in the pool - yes jumped so I had to rinse and dry him putting me way past my normal bedtime. He best not do it tonight. LOL If he had fallen in, I get it but he JUMPED in. I guess I should celebrate another dog jumping in but not just before bed. Let's see if he does it tonight. What are the chances? Yes, I am so laughing!
Dogs enjoyed the outdoors today. I was mighty busy and trying to relax. Nathan is very sore but pain pills are helping. He just moves slow. Hoping he is better tomorrow.
Dennis sat outside with the dogs and they got a ton of snuggles.
Dennis is about to go outside again. I may sit on the recliner and if I am not careful, I may fall asleep.
We had a duck in the pool and the dogs went crazy barking and the duck stayed in the middle as if to say hahahaha. The duck was right. It was safe.
Today, it hardly rained so the dogs got to sit outside with Dennis on the outdoor couch. This couch is getting older but is dearly loved. I received it as a birthday present years ago. We still get a great deal of use out of it and the dogs LOVE chilling with you on it.
Nathan had an accident at the show. See Nami's blog about it. Oh boy... but he is not home yet so I can assess it.
We have had a terribly busy day but a fun one. I hear tomorrow may be a nicer day.
People are still trying to get home. Some took car rentals from other provinces. It is a real mess for many. But the dogs are having fun so that is one less thing to be concerned about, I say.
Baby rabbits have departed so 1 less thing to worry about.
Bedtime with damp dogs and combouts have been interesting.
Nathan has been at a dog show. He has not returned yet. He is away again tomorrow on. So, it is a bit more noisy and a lot of work. LOL
We had 2 days worth of lunch thnx to the Maisals. We are deeply appreciated!
We have people that can't come home for almost a week due to Air Canada. At the beginning of the week, we had many cancellations. What a mess and unexpected. We are dealing as best as we can and our hearts go out to the families that are being affected. We also have someone stuck in a hospital in the Maritimes with double pneumonia. Everyone seems to be going through tough times. Thoughts are all with you.
Interesting Daisy who is over 16 is playing and I mean playing. It is as if she found her inner child. Remy is also almost 18 and he is really doing well.
The rest of the dogs are playing and socializing. It has been a great day despite rain. I can't imagine what Nathan has been going through as he is ring stewarding at an outside show and yes, it has been raining off and on and tomorrow is supposed to be the same.
What a great day despite the obstacles. It makes it all worthwhile when the dogs are having fun.
The weather cooled down and the dogs wanted to be outside more than in. It was cooler outside than inside. How funny.
I had combed out Emmy this morning and she rubbed her face in the flowers and well, she needs another combout but she so enjoyed herself. Maybe she was trying to get a flowery smell on her. I just laughed. What a great personality on that dog!
Dogs came - dogs went. Nathan was at a dog show and will be for 3 more days. He is already saying he is mighty tired after today. I hope it doesn't rain.
Thank you for the outstanding pasta from the Maisals. It helped greatly as well Dennis and I were dogging it with no time for anything else. Despite it all, it was a good day for humans, weather and doggos.
We had many cancellations due to Air Canada. It was like covid times and now we are hearing from people that pickups are delayed as flights have been cancelled. What a mess...
Ms Daisy was a local holiday so they were able to pick up her. We already miss her.
Dennis spent much of the day hanging out with dogs outside making the most of the cooler weather. He even had a blanket out there. LOL
Nathan has our club's local show to setup tomorrow so it will just be Dennis and I for 4 days - that is if people that are showing or judges that are judging can get in. Looks like rain for the show perhaps and cooler times. Going to be interesting for Nathan as well.
Buy hey no more extreme heat this week so we will do lots of fun stuff outside - which the dogs enjoy.
There is a birthday blog below. Squarespace still hasn't fixed the comments. I will nag them again on Monday. We shall see where that goes. I would change platforms but lots of work to do that and they know that.
This is Patches - Abby's photo will be placed up after I receive.
Here they are waiting for their meal. Remy wanted all of it. Velvet is a good eater too.
We had a lot of last minute cancellations due to Air Canada. This hit us hard so I am not in a good mood. LOL Amazing trickling down effect. It is what it is but wow I feel like it is covid again.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. Today was hot. The dogs will welcome the cooler weather. I am missing
Nathan is away 3 days at our dog show as he is helping running it - not showing. So we will have several days where Dennis and I are doing it all so if the blogs are short, forgive me.
I had a dematting job today from someone who has a rotator cuff issue so it was hours and hours of work. I want to go to bed. Can I? No...
But I saw 2 Nami pups with eyes closed playing - wow! Will have to put that photo up. I should had the video on but the house was noisy as people were picking up dogs. I will have the photos in the gallery after this blog is done. That was mighty exciting. Usually they don't do that till their eyes are open.
Dogs had fun today and Remy, the almost 18year old in 2 months is enjoying the other dogs. Special memories - I say!
Dare I say that the weather was not so bad today. We had dogs come, dogs go and all the while, dogs were having fun. Remy, arrived today. He is almost 18 years old - a Wasabi baby and considering how old, he is doing well. They do not usually live this long but he seems to still be enjoying.
Ms Harlow had to go to the vet again today to drain her fluid. She is doing much better today.
People going away are worried about Air Canada cancelling flights. So many may be picked up again but until then, the dogs are enjoying and they are getting a holiday. Hope the humans will too.
Mommas taking care of their babies - well they are special!
Pretty hazy outside but the dogs went in and out. Some departed, some are still departing. I had grooming to do. It has been a very busy day.
Someone brought a yogurt cake and I forgot to ask if I could post who they are. We do appreciate!
I am still behind and behind in videos and photos of the pups.
I will do better the less tired that I am.
The dogs were digging in the yard and we thought maybe new rabbits but couldn't see anything. It may be all our imaginations saying not again. I know, funny.
We are tired. I know, I said that but I just sat on the couch, forgot about this blog and with not even leaning back, I fell asleep. I am hoping tonight I play catchup fully. Dennis will be with the moms and pups.
It rained minorly so it is steamy out there. No one swam. Dogs did play games. Our resident rabbit seems to be gone. We were so stressed protecting the rabbit. It must be old enough to have moved on now. Dogs stopped looking for it - and we are grateful.
Seems comments are not working so if you need me, send me mail. I have reported it.
I am so looking forward to bed tonight - as crazy as that is.
We have many dogs departing tomorrow and Old Remy 17.5 year old will be staying for 3 weeks. I hope he is still as good as he was last visit.
Haven't had any sleep. Still on watch with Hallie. If I have to go another night without sleep, I may shoot myself. Nathan got his nap in. Oh well.
Tobi arrived today and what a delight he has been jumping all over and playing - so full of fun.
Nami pups are wonderful so there is that.
Dogs have been in and out. I did have Nathan watch Hallie while I went outside to water plants just so I had the feel of being outside. Then it rained for what 3 minutes very light. We need more. Due to so little rain it is now steamy. Funny...
Nathan too afraid to go to the store with Hallie so I had toast to eat today. One would have thought days ago he would have filled the house with food. Men.... and he does the food shopping. I used to and got a different selection of food.
Dogs do have food, treats and was going to cook up some turkey bacon (do have that) but can't be away from Hallie. I would have munched on that. Going to cut this short but Dennis is having a roaring grand time with the dogs and them with him so we are good.
We are on Hallie pup watch now. See her blog.
It is hot and I mean hot outside. I exercised and had a short swim. The dogs went in and out and we are feeding supper late. It happens. Usually 6pm is very late but tonight that is what it is.
I did laundry today - dog beds, blankets and well too much. I truly dislike laundry but having timers on my watch helps as it tells me when to move it and when to fold.
I cooled down all the pavers with water today. I walked outside and said to myself, this is toasty so it must be for them.
Daisy looked at the pool as if she wanted to go in. She's over 16 so I am not sure. They say rain may come this week. I so hope.
All yje dogs are enjoying themselves. Remy thinks he is the greeter of new dogs. It is a riot.
It is boiling hot outside. Unless you are in the pool like Ella and Nathan was, it is not comfortable to stay outside. They say we are breaking temps this summer. I believe it. So, we take them out many many times a day for short periods of time. They tell you - lets go back in.
Our air conditioner seems to be on 24/7. It doesn't help the puppy area as we need it toasty till they are older so I sweat as we cover the vents in this room.
Emmy seems to want to stay outside to play and investigate. We take her in but she seems to enjoy investigating. It is so nice she is here. Barney is coming shortly. Me, I want yet another nap. It is crazy how tired I am.
Thank you to Atoosa for bringing food today. I had planned to do take out - I know expensive but all I can muster so food has been truly amazing. Thank you for donuts and ice caps with whip cream - yum from Bailey's grandmama. So appreciated more than you know.
Dogs are just about to get dinner. We usually feed at 430 but Dennis is tired too doing night shift. This too shall pass. Just got to get Hallie done. LOL
For the 1st time at night we had 2 dogs that wanted the same spot so one sat on the other. It was a riot. Dogs are so funny!
