3 Weeks 3 Days Old

The pups are really starting to full out walk. It is getting crowded with 6 pups so maybe tomorrow, we will be getting them out of the whelping box. There is not enough room for a crate etc so that will have to wait but it will give them more room simply with the removal of the whelping box. 

I haven't decided how we are managing water, food etc but I can perhaps wait another 4 days for that but really I need to introduce it by then to help Yoshi as right now she is eating almost constant when she is not feeding. I am thankful she is as she is producing enough milk for them, at this point.

The pups have got of size now and really are doing well. Yoshi is amazing with her care of herself and the pups. I am amazed by her!

3 Weeks 2 Days Old

These 2 snuggle often but this time I was able to catch it. It is so heart warming.

They are interacting with each other and they are delicious. They are strengthening their legs and getting around.

It is amazing how slow they develop and how fast theey develop if you know what I mean. 

I can't wait till they are running the halls.

3 Weeks 1 Day Old

The pups are starting to get active. We will know when we have no choice but to move them out of the whelping box. It is pretty easy to figure out when that is. 

Right now they are perfecting their skills with walking and strengthening their legs. They are curious and amazingly loving. They nelt when you hold them.

3 Weeks Old

1 Day Short of 3 Weeks

Here is the gallery.

Like magic they are all trying to walk and doing quite a good job at it. It's like watching a flash mob. Next time they do it, I will have to video them. 

I feel like I am falling down on the job. With so much on my plate, I see moments but the phone is dead or not there or something but I promise, I will get them moving as it is so much fun to watch.

I have to stop weighing them as they are jumping out of the scale. It always happens about this time. I need to devise something that encloses them in but still thinking that one through. They are gaining. You can see they are visually plump.

In about 8 days we will try them on food to help Yoshi not have to eat so much.

2 Weeks and 5 Days Old

I can't believe they are almost 3 weeks old. They are plump. Mom is still feeding them and she is still eating more than any other mom we had. She appears to be happy and is now laying out in the hall with some of the other dogs getting cool. 

I caught the last pup standing full on his legs. They literally melt in your hands when you hold them. They so love the snuggles. It is nice. 

2 Weeks 4 Days Old

I can hardly believe these pusp are already 2.5 weeks old. How did that happen?

They are plump. Momma is eating 7 or 8 times a day literally. 

All their needs are met. She so loves these pups and they are looking cuter by the day and no it is not just my bias showing.

2 Weeks 3 Days Old

We are trying to figure out how to give these pups extra room as our plan was that the Hallie and Nami pups would depart and we would move them into the bigger xpen but several people can't pick up till these pups are 5 weeks old. That is rather late to not have room to eat and have space to walk around and to go upstairs. We are thinking. We never had pups picked up so late. Some are going home on time so we will have a reduced amount of pups but it still doesn't help these pups. 

The pups remaining may have to go out in the general population and sleep in bed with us. 

I am thinking how to handle this issue. It also means that these pups will have play sessions but the older ones can't play with the younger ones so that means 6 play sessions? Yikes...

So, if you have ideas - let me know as I am not sure of how to do this.

Rest of Eyes Open and Nails

This puppy has the most unique face and is bloody adorable - just saying! He was the last born.

So 2 weeks and 2 days and all have their eyes open. They even had their nails clipped. See them in the gallery.

The pups are now starting to try to stand. Yoshi is so proud. Every milestone she beams. It is adorable!

2 Weeks 1 Day: Eyes Open

This is dot on the head - just my description. He has his eyes open today.

This is a tri boy. Tris always have eyebrows and they maintain these eyebrows.

This is the tri gal. She has a lighter overall face. I tell you this so you can tell the boy and girl apart. 

We have 3 with eyes open and 3 without. We will keep looking at the ones that have their eyes closed to see when they open. 

I will have to add toys so they start getting visuals.
