Last of the 8 Week Visit

This crew is pretty agile. They run, jump, play and have a good time.

Moms are starting to wean them.

Be sure to check out the videos.

They also are now eating hard - not softened food. Remember do NOT buy food. We send you home with a bag. Plus we give you a selection of treats that you can try. We buy them from Biopaw as we know they are quality treats.

Oh boy, I am so going to miss this crew.

Outdoor and Inside

The pups had play sessions outside and inside.

See today's gallery.

This is a short blog today. Tomorrow we have our last puppy visit then we need to hear 3 picks so we can figure out pups. For myself I need a name for an Ella pup.

Everything is going by way too fast.

This group of pups was so easy to merge. We have no bullies - no one taking advantage that they are larger than the next. It says a lot. Good one, pups!

Fun Time 8 Week Visit

Be sure to check out the videos.

Monday (we usually do not do this) we have the last visit from the puppy people on this list. We made an exception due to summer and trips. It's crazy as I have to cancel some groomings and still fit in my dogs and visitors with the comb outs. It's okay. To see puppy smiles - well that is priceless. It's also priceless to see the humans interact with them.

The black tri is remaining with us and if the Ella and Cinnamon gal we are keeping turns out, we now have our future generation. Certainly we have this with Spirit from Leti.

Our name on this black, tri girl will be

Talemaker's She's All Spice Call name: Ali

This theme is usually the spice line so I think it is fitting. She's named after Spicy and she is a spicy one for sure. She is trouble, trouble, trouble.

Look forward to hearing your name choices.

Puppy Visit 2 Families

I believe the puppy visit was a good one. I was a bit distracted having guests over but I did manage to take photos and videos.

Here is the gallery.

The puppies last much longer now and then they sleep and sleep.

Tomorrow they have another visit.

As I am typing the pups are back out for another play session. The first puppies go home on the 10th - oh my.

Before and During the Vets

Here is a gallery of them before the vets.

All the pups had a full play session before they went to the vets but I hardly got any videos. I was highly busy. Apologies.

Tomorrow the pups have a visit with 2 families. Plus I have 2 guests so busy times tomorrow.

All the pups were great all the way there and all the way back. All yelped to a degree with the microchip and shots except this one.

He wagged his tail and didn't make a peep on any of it. All the pups were great truly and the vet was impressed with all 10.

I love that the vet loves our quality of pups.

No one was car sick nor did they have accidents. We do stop feeding them 2 hours before departure. It's called setting them up to be successful. They had access to water always but no pee accidents either. Good ones!

They all saw big and small dogs and many people. They got a ton of snuggles. They came home. They went out and played then in to eat and sleep. Soon they will be up to play before bedtime. It has been a long day for them and for us too.

Wet and All That!

Cinnamon's pups had a bath today as well and I did 3 at once times 2. 3 complained, 3 did not. hahahahaha

The experience was a riot. It wasn't about the bath but rather you took me away from playing - really?

Here is the gallery.

They have had quite the fun filled day. We may be doing the Saturday visit on 2 decks. You have to see how agile they are in person.

Tomorrow the vets. then Friday and Saturday visits - wow... and I have guests on Friday so forgive me if all my focus isn't on taking photos and videos. Families that are coming best bring your camera. I will try though.

Teethers

The pups LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the teethers. Thank you, Anne and Russell!

Here is today's gallery.

Pups are really eating less and less from the moms and more food. They have now had their 2nd deworming and will have their 3rd before they depart.

They are so delicious at this stage!

We have a puppy visit at 3 on Friday but I also have friends coming so I will try to get video but not sure.... This visit was planned eons ago so ....

Muggy Day

It was a muggy day but a fun one despite the weather. This gal was posing under the table.

The pups have been out 3 times already today.

Here is the gallery.

They think outside is the place to be when you want to have fun.

We have a busy week this week - 7 weeks old today - wow!

Upstairs Fun

I find the pups are truly at a fun stage. They try a lot and pretty much succeed. That says a lot about them. They persevere and love to try new things.

Cinnamon still loves to feed them. We are cutting down her food to help her make the transition. Ella will feed them too but less than Cinnamon. Cinnamon seems to be saying wow - look at what I have. Ella takes over after Cinnamon finishes. They are quite the team.

Check out the videos.

I can't believe they are turning 7 weeks. I can't believe they start going home starting on August 10th.

Short Blog Today

Can I get back out? Think anyone would notice?

Here is the gallery.

Pups were out 4 times today and had a blast but they don't last long mid day due to the heat.

Just know the pups had a blast today and inbetween grooming I played with them.

The Ramp

Thanks goes to Sherry for the toys and Anne for the teethers. They love them!

Nathan put a pillow under the ramp to heighten it so it has an up and down. They didn't blink an eye - both Cinnamon and Ella pups. They acted as if it was nothing.

We also had one try to climb up to Spicy in the chair and was managing to get there. You will have to check out the videos to see.

Lately the Cinnamon pups seem to be leveling out in growth and the Ella pups are growing. They do grow in different stages depending on their lines.

They are starting to look like older pups. They are also, fun, fun, fun.

I have to finish here as I am about to take the pups out again!

Thursday
Jul192018

This one is a true character. She can climb out, up and over anything it seems. She is a riot. She was out of the xpen today, up on a chair outside and trying to climb up the xpen outdoors.

Check out the gallery.

The pups are really getting into that fun and interesting stage.

I wonder if we could line them up and take a photo of all 10. I think it may be impossible!

6 Weeks 2 Days Old

The pups are now climbing up on the ottoman and on to the chairs sitting up high. They run up and down the ramp without issue. In another week or so we will actually put the ramp between the decks to see if they will use it or the stairs. Some may still be too short in body to climb stairs but this is when we will see how they assess the possibilities.

Pups really had a great time outside. Be sure to check out the videos. I am getting them up shortly. I want it done so I do not return from dinner to find I need to update the blogs. :-)

I am now getting full neck snuggles from a number of them - Cinnamon's and Ellas. It's wonderful!

Getting Agile and Visit

The pups really enjoyed their visit and they are starting to get more and more agile. As you can see here one of Cinnamon's pups climbed right up. By the day they are trying new things and finding they can do it.

Here is a gallery from the visit today.

We want to thank everyone for coming. I love watching the pups with those they have not seen yet. It gives me insight and it is just plain fun to watch.

Swimming Gal

One of Cinnamon's gals went swimming and she wanted to keep swimming. It was a riot.

Pups were out but it did get too hot this morning before the rain came.

See the gallery.

They got exposed to the slide, the half circle ramp and a new elongated ramp. They did rather well.

Be sure to see the videos.

Tomorrow they have a visit. It will be cooler. Exciting day planned.

First Upstairs

I have to say I truly love this boy. He is personality plus!

Here is a gallery of upstairs.

As we were waiting for the gazebo guys to come last night, we had to bring the crew upstairs. That was good as it was another new exposure. It went really well as you will see in the photos.

Can you believe this crew won't be 6 weeks till Monday and Ella's 6 weeks on Tuesday.

The pups are chewing on everything. I need to get more teething toys. We tend to use the baby teethers as they work really well. Some have a LOT of teeth and some have a fair bit.

Bowels stayed good after visit. Bowels will loosen up if they were stressed. They get their deworming again today. They love it so - not!

The gazebo guys came at 745am this morning. They are still at it. We are waiting to get the pups out but they are sleeping so that is okay.

6 Week Visit

This boy does this with me all of the time since he was 2 weeks old. It was fun to see him doing it with people he just met. What a character.

Here is the gallery.

I hope everyone enjoyed the visit. The pups took a big nap after. They are now raring to go but we are waiting for the gazebo people to come so they may be playing out of the pen inside instead. No swimming for me either.

We get to do this again in 2 weeks. They will be more active too and we may be doing it on 2 decks with a ramp and all sorts of fun.

I hope everyone enjoyed the pups. To me this is a very special crew. Both from 1st time moms that are really amazing and the pups end up being the same due to that laid back love that they are given.

The Bath Before Visit

I took notes so I could remember who did what. heh This is the littlest Cinnamon boy. He was amazing in the water. Great for the dryer, pads. I think he had fun. heh

This is the black tri gal, As you can see she has eyebrows. She was like her brother above and did well on it all. Please recognize that how they did is not a reflection of anything but an early water desire or not. Even at 6 weeks if they hated the water they can end up loving it if it is cultivated. Just some have this early love. Some do not.

This sable and cream cutie was great in the water, dryer and for the pads.

This boy rolls on his back and is a real character. I hope he shows you his antics as we laugh at him and with him a great deal. He has shown a very early fun personality. He was amazing in the water. He didn't like the dryer. I have 2 dryers blowing at them.

This girl was great in the water and the dryer but she wasn't pleased at photos where i have to hold them mid air. She adjusted but it was as if she said - what are you doing? So far she refuses to kiss and is a quieter dog who loves snuggles. Who would have thought a Cinnamon pup that doesn't kiss - at least yet.

This girl was completely great in the water, the dryer and the pads.

Be sure to check out the videos.

all and all the pups did amazing. I am so impressed as they are yet to be truly 6 weeks. Tomorrow for the visit these pups will be 2 days short of 5 weeks and the Ella pups 3 days shy of 6 weeks.

Here is their wet and dry gallery.

What a Pile Up

Ella is already trying to wean the puppies and Cinnamon is saying - I will feed all of you. the pups are eating a sufficient amount of food now so moms 'could' wean them but we usually just gradually give them less access.

The pups certainly love outdoors and they come running for the sherpa bags now. They should depart with one as they are mighty comfie in it but you need the largest size. It is a waste to get the medium and have to buy another when they grow. Tchibo went to Russia in his sherpa bag as they continued travelling with him in it.

Here is the gallery.

I can't believe in 2 days they are going to have a party - well semi party. It's the 6 week visit.

Teething and More

Just love the fun of the pups. They play. They roll on their backs. They are now playing with toys in a big way. They all have teeth jutting through. Can we say teething?

Be sure to check out the videos.

I honestly can't believe I am washing 10 puppies and 2 moms on Friday. Oh wow! Can I transplant myself to Saturday?
