Full Week Old Tonight

Here is the gallery.

Can you believe they are now a full week old starting tonight? I can't. It feels like a blur coming 2 days earlier than official due date. They are gaining. They are thriving.

Momma Cinnamon is getting shawarma as her meal topper. Yes, you got that right. I will have some too. I have to laugh as moms that are pregnant or soon after birth do like different food than usual but I think anyone here would eat it.

We had a busy morning here with Nami pups departing so not many videos or photos but the day isn't over despite that I feel like I need a nap.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

6 Days Old Tonight

Here is the gallery.

I may be messy but I am enjoying the babies, says Cinnamon.

She is an amazing mom.

She has eaten several mousse today as it is easy on her tummy.

Pups are gaining nicely.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

5 Days Old Tonight

Here is the gallery.

The pups are beautiful. They are 5 days old tonight. Can you believe?

They continue to gain. Mom has a bit of an upset tummy and is not eating all that much but this will pass. It always does. She has lots of milk and she is doting on pups.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Going on 4 Days Old Tonight

Here is the gallery.

Pups will be 4 days old tonight. They are finding mom, for the most part, on their own. They have good instincts.

They are gaining and seem to be very contented pups. Can't get better than that!

Mom is eating well. No impacted milk stations. Bowels are working properly. Of course I still have to clean her bottom as she still and will have dischrage this 1st week after birth and we want the pups to stay clean. Cinnamon likes to be clean too. She's not an embrace the muddy feet type of gal.

I had to put up her hair again and brush her out as she couldn't see. I brush her in the pen mostly as she wants to always be with her pups. She is so proud, you know.

They all seem to be getting bellies. It's cute to see.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

3 Days Old Tonight

Here is the gallery.

Cinnamon's pups are doing well. You will even see in one video the black and white 1st born - the smallest already has a fat tummy.

She sometimes sits up and other times lays down to feed them. I have brushed her out twice today but she is a physical dog with her pups so she lets them crawl all over her and smiles while they do. Cinnamon has a happy go lucky demeanor. She's the one that hits me with a toy to get me to play AFTER I fall asleep. Mommy - you are just pretending to be asleep.

I will be getting videos up in a bit after I do the blogs. I had intended on doing it earlier but no time.

Her pups have no issue finding the milk stations and they are all gaining nicely. We weigh twice a day just in case there are issues. If I had issues I would be delaying the Nami pups departing.

Cinnamon is an amazing mom.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

1 Day and a Half

Gallery is here

Pups will be 2 full days old tonight. All are doing well. Mom is eating well. Mom's body functions are working properly - actually exceedingly well as she is solid. She remains doting. She so loves the pups.

Pups will be 2 days old later tonight. It's hard to believe Dennis spent 2 nights with them already.

Pups are gaining. Cinnamon is eating very

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

well. Though spoiled. She will get some bacon later today - freshly cooked as she loves it so.

Less Than a Full Day

Here is the gallery.

If you see Cinnamon looking messy, this is not a tv show. It is real life. I refuse to groom a less than 24 hour - just had pups - mom. Tomorrow, I will. I firmly believe that its stress on a mom to be taken away from her pups when they are this age. Tomorrow I will try to comb her out in the xpen or just outside.

Sage and Nami are no longer in this room. She was not happy and not happy means too often milk doesn't come in or comes in slowly. Sage and Nami see their pups 4 times a day playing with them so they are not missing out. It will also help Nami with the transition.

Glad we set up the xpen early. Yes, 2 days before her due date. They were ready!

The pups are doing well. Cinnamon is trying to get her groove on. Shall I feed laying down, sitting up. What position gives them the best access. She is an EXCELLENT mom and knows what her pups need. She is eating exceedingly well but has not had any output. This happens. By tomorrow she should.

She is delighted with the pups. She cleans them till they are sparkling. LOL

All pups do find mom's milk source. Her milk is in now. They are all doing well. They are moving all over. Colours have settled in. I couldn't ask for a better start but when they are larger at birth, it is easier. That doesn't mean oversized. It simply means mom ate well while pregnant and they were firmly attached.

I am sorry I am so late with the blogs but lots happened today. I will fill you in on the other blogs. It may be like this for a bit but I do add videos as I go during the day so you can get your fix that way. We do have a vet visit tomorrow and pups starting to go home and visitors departing.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.

Meet Cinnamon's Beauties

The pups are great sizes for making their debut. They are eating and mom is exceptionally doting over them.

If she had to have an oops - this was it as she has a whole litter of spectacular pups.

I had an incredibly busy day with groomings, pups, Cinnamon and I am ready for bed.

Dennis will stay up with this crew. Tomorrow I will work 2 rooms as I have several dogs to groom that are departing while Dennis sleeps. This was an exceedingly busy day but look at how it ended.

Lucky you - parents to be.

4th one was born at 612pm. He is the darkest and has a white chin. He is a boy weighing in at 8-2/8oz 235g

5th one born is a sable. Will she look like mom? She was born at 635pm. She weighs 6-7/8oz 196g

The 6th born boy was born at 7pm by mom. She cleaned and there he was. He weighs 6-7/8oz 194g. He has 2 back white paws and a white blaze on his chest.

We have 7 beauties - all eating. Cinnamon was amazing. 4 gals, 3 boys.

Simply beautiful pups. Now I need to change blankets, clean mom and smile.

Now the Wait Begins

I just finished setting up the xpen for Cinnamon. I just need a pillow for the knees plus her name on the whelping box.

She didn't eat this morning but pups are active and she is big. At night in bed she carries a squaeking toy around. She is highly maternal.

Now we do the countdown.

Here is one of her gals upstairs.

Tomorrow afternoon are her xrays. We shall see what her one connection brings.

Cinnamon Belly Messy Gal

Here is the gallery.

Cinnamon as you can see is a messy gal. She was just outside. Her feet are dirty. Her belly is not shaved and she will need a bath just before her xray. But, I thought you may want to see how big she is as she is big. She already has milk.

Cinnamon had 7 pups her last delivery and all are very fun and enthusiastic pups. They have personality plus.

Lately she is found taking a nap with Nathan during the afternoon (her usual pregnant or not) and then hitting me with a toy in bed wriggling her entire body in happiness. She listens though. I put the covers over my head and she stops and starts in doing it to Jeannie or anyone that will tolerate. She wants to play. Give her a toy with a squeaker she will chew on that over and over.

As this was not planned, I have no idea where I will fit her in this room as Nami pups will be starting to go home. We may have to put the Sage and Nami pups together and Cinnamon gets one of theirs. We shall see.

Daisy's New Family

This is such a great photo. A magical moment of laughter and happiness. This is why we do this beyond loving the pups as we do, it's sharing happiness.

Here are the family photos.

I can't believe the last has departed. It was a quiet visit as you will see in the videos that I will be uploading any moment.

Here are the photos before she departed.

They were busy pulling the sherpa bag apart and having a grand old time.

There will be no Sage updates today. I will do Rebel for a few days and then she will go in on the main blog. If people want to send photos, I will post. A short blurb with it will be fun. Just send to darlah@potechin.com

Here are the videos.

This gal has so much bubbly personality. She so reminds me of Cinnamon. Missed they will be but happy that many families are happy!

Juno's New Family

The littlest one next to Watson has now departed. Their kids do not know they are bringing home a puppy. I want to be a fly on that wall to see. Going to be fun and they also have a cat.

Here are the family photos.

It's rather quiet around here now. I just put blankets away in sealed plastic bins that we have. Not all of them but it's a start. So going to miss this gang. I tell you. Never whined unless a sibling yanked their ear and well always had a sense of fun. It is good for your heart.

Here are the gallery photos before Juno departed.

At 3pm the last - Ms. Daisy departs, How did that happen?

The videos are going up now.

Watson's New Family

The one that started out as the littlest is no longer the littlest and is heading home now. He has a long drive so his parents won't be home till 9ish. I hope for no snow that sticks and safe travels for this family.

Thank you for the chocolate and the wine. It was much appreciated!

He is always going to be that boy we watched grow and grow and grow and applaud! Plus he is a truly pretty boy. Shh do not tell him that.

Here is the gallery of the family.

They played and I was hoping for even more play as this one has a long trip. You want them tuckered out.

Here is the gallery from the play.

Tomorrow the last 2 Cinnamon pups depart tonight and the last of Sage's departs tonight.

So many changes for them and for us and the new families.

The crew is still enthusiastic and running into the kitchen then running back. Tonight we will be down to 3.

Videos are going up now.

Last Baths Juno and Daisy

Oh to have a dog go okay this water is fine. can I go play but massage me a little more, will you? I like this under the blow dryer. She's a class snuggler too. :-)

Here are Juno's bath photos.

This one is departing first tomorrow.

She will be missed. She was the next smallest next to Watson. She has colour bleeding through all over.

Oh what can I say about Daisy. She wasn't crazy about me pulling a knot out from near her bum. Where did that come from? I think someone hasd been chewing on your hair. LOL But we were gentle and it was no big deal. She loved the blow dryer. The bath she was looking at ways of scaling the tub to get out to play. Not due to being afraid but mom was there and well I should be there playing too. Cinnamon had a squeakie toy that I swear she was teasing her with. Not fair. Moms... Best to have moms elsewhere when bathing. They can be distracting.

Here is Daisy's gallery.

Daisy is the very last to depart and oh boy will we miss her. It will be a conclusion to this crew departing. Rebel will remain and have to learn to intergrate with the rest. The xpen will come down and she will be out with the rest.

We will be missing. Families will be excited and that is what makes it worth it. You get mighty attached so good we will have Rebel.

We will then start posting photos in their new homes so send and tell me what you want posted. This way we can all follow the journey.
