3 Weeks 6 Days: Couple of 1sts

Here is the gallery.

Hallie pups were out in the hall for the 1st time by themselves and Yoshi and Nami and then with the Nami pups. You will see in the Nami gallery all of them together.

How did they do? Amazing and I mean amazing. You will see in the videos that I have to upload after the blogs.

They still are not interested in food but they are interested in those pups through the bars.

They are also surefooted enough to walk all over the floor.

I was going to put this off as I am sick and it was just me doing it all but something said lets try.

I am glad - not for the work but glad I get to experience these 1sts.

These pups were magical.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here.

3 Weeks 5 Days

Here is the gallery

Sorry folks - I am sick so not doing much of a blog. Only a few videos. I apologize.

I tried the pups on the solid food. They are not interested, Nami's was over 4 weeks before they tried so maybe I will try it in a few days.

They are doing well. They moutg each other in play. They are getting solid on their feet.

They are getting fat.

3 Weeks 4 Days

Here is the gallery.

One of the pups wakes up and walks over to the pad to go. Can you guess who?It doesn't mean their trained but some smart cookie or puppy or doggie - your fave name for them.

Waggie tails when I enter their pen. They are mighty curious with the Nami pups. That is nice.

Short blogs. Got videos to upload and a brain to turn off after 2 more grooms. I hope you understand.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here.

3 Weeks 3 Days

Here is the gallery.

Hallie pups are not interested in solid food yet. They are a week younger than Nami's so my trying them on food is extra early. I think I will keep trying or simply wait till they get to 4 weeks too.

They are highly curious at the pups on the other side. It is good to get them exposed to each other. They do use the pad when you place them on it. This is way early.

I got asked if there was anything wrong with Hallie pups as they are not as advanced as Namis. If they were doing the same thing as Nami pups at a week younger, they would be highly advanced so the answer is no, they are on track in their development. I get you may be comparing but that is simply not fair. It is like expecting a baby at 6 months doing the same as a baby at 9 months.

They have been practicing their walking. They do play with each and well, I know I am biased but they are way cute!

3 Weeks 2 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

We did try Hallie's pups on solid food. I didn't take photos but did take a video. They are too early for food so we will wait a few days and try again. Realize Nami's pups are ready but a week older. It wasn't about their system but rather their lack of interest. They are still getting enough from mom. When they are hungry as their system needs more nutrition than mom can offer, they will eat like Nami's did. Another indicator is when they want to eat from mom frequently more than usual and Nami's pups started doing that yesterday so I realized it must be time for them.

This crew is playing with each other. It is cute. Mom cleans them but hasn;t full out played with them as they are still too young but that will come.

I may try tonight removing some of the blankets. Part of it is to get them sure footed and the other is the reality that I am doing 8 loads a day of blankets. All it takes is a tiny accident and I remove and replace. There is a method to my madness even if I creates more work for me, I do things when I assume it is time and if I am wrong, I pull back and wait and try again. These pups are already using the pad if you put them on it. Nami's took a bit but this is the start. No puppy with a tiny bladder is 100% trained. We do this to help you get the start and some are pretty good when they go home but you have a new environment, new surroundings etc. They all get there.

This process also gets me to understand their capabilities as they unfold. It also helps me to see their personalities creating the right fit for the right puppy. I do immerse myself with the pups as I do it for them. Giving them the best start helps them. Both sets of pups are really great easy pups so far.

So, tonight remove blankets and see how they do Nd go from there. We will try them on food again before the weekend concludes.
