Hmm Why, Mom?

Here is the gallery.

Mothers have decided not to feed their pups and a few pups are not happy about it. It is called, you need to grow up, not be so dependent on me - tough love sort of thing. It is hard to handle when you are young but I let moms dictate when it happens. They know best.

Some moms will feed them till they depart. That is actually not great as they do need independence before they depart. They will adjust.

What will happen? They will feed when they are full to take the edge off and not anymore till their milk dries up.

Till this process is done, they can't truly play with them. When it is complete, they will spend their time teaching and playing. So, in reality, the earlier they do this, the better they are.

Pups have had 2 very full play sessions. They will have another before bed. I am going to eat and then finish the blogs, upload more videos etc.

The amount of work I am doing from 645am till about 11pm, makes me feel old. I am honestly exhausted without a break. Dennis manages to get one sitting outside with the dogs. I just go nonstop and I am feeling it. I can't blame Dennis as he stays up later than me doing the floors etc

Now  if only Yoshi has pups Sunday during the day - please!

The pups are magnificent. They honestly are. I could do less with them and sit but these are critical days helping them to become all they can be by exposing them. To know they will go home more confident is worth the work.

Today is the Day

See Nami's blog for the gallery.

Pups had a hall play, a togetherness change and will be going out shortly. They will have their last play session with Dennis.

As usual, I will add videos and photos to the gallery as I find time.

I figure today - to not lose my streak, I will do a 6 min exercise session as that all I can do with my schedule. I will bring Yoshi with me.

I am also going to see if I have a blanket I can design to give Yoshi the newness thing we do. Not sure if I will have the time but I will try.

Dennis said - do you know how to whelp without Nathan? I laughed. Yes, I have done so but can't take photos at the same time but I will try to stand on my head. May she wait till Saturday night - what are the chances?

Hallie remains an excellent mom and both moms went into the pen and looked around and escaped. I guess they saw it as a growing up stage - don't have to feed them as much. We shall see how that goes.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here.

Outside Again

Here is the gallery for both blogs. I will be updating it through the day. Think this will be easier for me?

The pups went out first thing before the heat arrived and less squeaking, more fun play, running and pouncing on siblings.

Bowels remain solid so that means little stress either day even if they had squeaks.

OMG they are growing up. They are a ton of fun in their interaction.

I seriously think I am not having any rest from morning till bedtime but the dogs and pups make me smile and you can't get better than that.

I figured I would get one blog done and do as I can so its not overwhelming doing it all at once.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here. I will be updating as I go and of course I have to start planning for Yoshi.

3 Times is It

See Nami's blog for the gallery. I explain it there. I will be alternating it between the blogs.

I have some pretty great moms who share feeding duties. It is amazing and they don't seem to mind. It is not something I created. They just did it and was reciprocated. I find that pretty special.

They had 2 play sessions in the downstairs hall and 1 outside today. They just finished the last session. Then at 945pmish they head upstairs and then we start cleaning and sterilizing the downstairs pens. We clean the upstairs pen ib the morning getting it ready for the night time. There is a method to our madness.

Some of the pups have half their teeth and some have a full mouth. Wow and they are teething. When they chew on their siblings they yelp to let their siblings know that hurts. This is how they learn to use a soft mouth. Moms will correct them too.

The pups have arrived at the hoppity hop stage of practicing running and climbing. They are really wonderful pups and they are ahead of the curve in all things thus far.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here.

We Had a Visitor

Here is the gallery.

We had Sherry come to visit and she got to have a bit of puppy heaven. It was great to have her here and to expose the pups to someone other than Nathan, Dennis and I.

Tomorrow I am doing 1 gallery for both blogs and will be alternating the link. I must for my sanity. Galleries or doing new stuff with pups - well pups will always win out and I know you can figure out who is who. They now play together the whole play session as they need to expel the same amount of energy now.

You will also see another 1st on Nami's blog.

We had a full day but almost 9pm and far from done and I mean far from done.

The pups are truly developing quite well in their capabilities.
