So today I dewormed everyone and this time we have loose stools - which is very common. 1st time no issues. This will resolve itself but this is why we deworm vs you having to when the pups go home with you. Not fair for you to be cleaning up, making sure they get enough water and you having to worry. We will deworm each puppy 2 days before it goes home. If it has a reaction such as loose stools, it will be resolved within 2 days. Why did this occur this time? Well you are putting toxins in their bodies and the 1st time they had no clue what was going on so this time they did. Stress contributes to this but as I said, it does clean out their system when needed but I can assure you that our dogs do not have worms. We do the adults when we do the pups as a PREVENTATIVE as vets will insist you do it. If it is already done, you do not need to. 

Tomorrow I will let you know how they are doing. They are still playing and still active. That tells me this is a mild reaction. 

But I should have waited till after the vaccines as they can also contribute to a reaction. None of this is serious. 

Tomorrow they will have a full day. Tonight I print out photos so we can have the vet check them in order of moms.

Tomorrow they will have another deworming. On Tuesday they will have the vet visit and on Friday baths and on Saturday and Sunday they will have human visits. Busy week but fun.

They relish the play sessions and can you blame them? Going to be fun!

Safe Really?

Here is the gallery.

I told you not too long ago that the moms get up on the beds that are up high to be safe from pups trying to feed. I also told you that eventually that wouldn't work. As you can see in this photo that day has already arrived. 

They climb. They jump and moms are almost not feeding them now. I say 99% of the time. That is good as they are at that age.

In a few days they will get their vaccinations and microchips. As we are using our local vet as our breeder vet is in Florida now, I am not sure if we can do photos but I am hoping so. I am also hoping its dry outside so we can do it outside. We shall see. Stay tuned. 

After that they will get a visit from you and that craziness of getting everything ready begins for me.

What is That?

Now the sky is black so rain is coming. As soon as I am done blogging - hopefully I have enough time, we will take all the stuff indoors before it gets saturated.

I wish it would stay warm but a rainy weekend. The pups and us made the most of outdoors today. They learned new ways to deal with stairs and ramps plus they so enjoyed the extra room. I love this stage.

Each day they learn and perfect their skills. It is wonderful. It's like a brand new mom and dad watching their babies get better by the day and celebrating their achievements.

Still Cool

We tried to take the pups out but WE were too cold. Have to laugh. It got to a high of 50f and we thought that was cold. So, the pups played upstairs - so far 2 times. They will have another play session tonight.

They seem to be lasting longer in the play sessions but sleeping longer as well. 

Don't read any further if you don't want to hear something graphic. 

We have 16 pups. They have 16 outputs each meal. They have 3 or 4 meals a day - most times 4. Do the math of how much I clean up. They also don't all do it at once. Just a crazy tidbit about the pups.
