Play With Dennis

As we were at the vets, the crew had Dennis to play with and play they did.
Not much of an update today as I need to spend time with the dogs. Just know fun was had!! Now to snuggle and groom.
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.

As we were at the vets, the crew had Dennis to play with and play they did.
Not much of an update today as I need to spend time with the dogs. Just know fun was had!! Now to snuggle and groom.
Reggie arrived at 745am and at 8am he jumped into the pool. So, a bath was a must as he decided to roll in our cedars and dirt. That's how I started my day. How was yours?
Then I washed 6 pups, combed out everyone and we put on the pool in hopes to swim but it didn't happen.
Dogs had fun anyway. They ran, they played, they snuggled. They all got a dental chew. We are doing this daily. The dogs love them except for Kat. There is always one.
Tenshi now has claimed the pillow in the tv room. She just gently kept moving till Ali got off. LOL Don't feel bad for Ali. She was trying to be irritating. She even tries that out on Shoshi who is an old lady. She's as bad as Stormy. We love her but....
This is what happens when you have a wet day. They gravitate to the tv room as it is filled with couches, a chair and a ton of warm blankets. We still have not put the heat on but I caught one of the dogs under the blankets getting cozy. I comb. I brush. It is impossible. This is how they look despite it.
Everyone has departed except Benji. Tomorrow Reggie, Trigger and Levon come. We are excited. But let's hope rain is not in the forecast.
The dogs are happy. They are playing as I type but go outside? They look at us as if we are nuts. Still, we take them out. It's interesting how they stay under the gazebo. I can't blame them.
The Moxie gal had her bath and she was delighted to see her Momma. It's wonderful to see them excited. Teddy was delighted to see his daddy and Tiny was delighted to see his family. Tomorrow the other Teddy departs as well as Sadfie and Marlee. The house empties. It's as if they are all going back to school. LOL It is how I felt when the kids left for university. I know, they are not mine but I love them.
Dogs like blankets too. I turned our thermostat to off vs cool. It feels cool in this house. I started researching chimney sweeps. It's been years since we used and not sure if we want to but how much do they cost?
Last night the dogs slept under the blankets with me. Yes - under. Were they telling me something? We did put the heatlamp on last night in the puppy pen and we are doing the same during the day. I have slippers on, a sweater on and I am still cold.
I just want to cuddle on the couch. How decadent is that?
Each time I comb out the dogs they get a treat. This was Teddy with his treat. he wanted to sniff it before partaking. Teddy departs tomorrow and he will get spruced up again. He has had to have 2 baths while he was here. It means he had fun. :-)
We have 2 Teddy's here at the moment.
Chester and Oscar departs today. chester is back in 4 days.
Marcie was over for a bath and trim. She also got to play with Ali and Sky. I do have a video up with them playing. I think Sky was jealous. How interesting. Cinnamon and Ella was delighted!
It got warm enough for me to get into the pool then I was back to grooming. Only had a half hour but better than none.
Dogs must have truly loved this weather as they were running banshees.
I give up on Stormy. She managed to make herself look like an utter mess. Think I need to shave her down. LOL
Dogs are enjoying the cooler weather. Me, not so much.
Some of the adults truly enjoy the little gremlin pups, some don't. Moxie loves the pups including the Ali.
Tomorrow I have a ton of groomings. My back was much better this morning then I started bending and lifting so I stopped. Not healed all the way yet. Oh well.
Teddy has decided he really likes my slippers so when I sit in the recliner, he steals them. I laugh.
Murphy has departed. I laughed at her hair blowing as she was drying. She is such a good girl.
Oscar and Chester gets a clean up tomorrow. We will miss them.
Is anyone ready for true Fall?
We were supposed to get a huge storm so we battened down the hatches, so to speak and the wind came. The sun was very hot. We had a ton of leaves in the pool. But here we sit still waiting for the hard rain. They say the cold front is coming in and socks will be needed. I do not have any - got to buy some so guess what - heat remain - please. :-)
Ella and Willow went into the pool as a last hoorah. I went into the pool.
Dogs were out with Nathan till a few minutes ago. Ottawa had a tornado - our family is okay.
No rain tomorrow - cooler but not cold. I just looked. Hooray!
Moxie got puppy time.
We had a lot of snuggles while the dogs watched and felt the wind. I believe in conditioning if it is safe to do so. Everyone did well.
As this storm moves through, I hope everyone stays safe. The weather channels says we are not out of the woods yet but I think we are.
Snuggle time after the next blog is done.
Yes, Stormy is a poser. She looks right at the camera and says - oh are you clicking me? Stormy was cut down as I was tired of her never looking decent as she is such a play monkey. She has such a fabulous personality - amazing plus. She is also such a pretty gal when you can see her. Here she looks like Abigail. I hope when she has pups they will be playful like her. If they are, it will be a truly fun crew.
It got cold today. It rained for a bit and the dogs played inside and out.
Tomorrow Murphy boy (we have 3 Murphys) and Harlow depart. Moxie arrives.
I take a blanket outside, my computer with a blanket and I sit and snuggle with the dogs. They love it. I love the blanket, the dogs but not the colder weather. I still want to swim.
Tomorrow is supposed to be hot with 80% chance of rain. What the hey. Oh well.
The dogs are looking at me cross-eyed as it is tv time. Teddy says hey recliner time don't you know? Oh and Ali can clearly jump up on chairs. It is scary. She does it with ease.
Murphy's mom was worried and thought he looked a bit sad but he is a play monkey. He really likes everyone and as I was typing he was barking at me to ge him up on the couch. We are outside enjoying this weather.
Here is a gallery such as it is.
I must wash Teddy even though I comb him out daily. He doesn't go home for a bit and well his hair is getting that oily look so wash we must. Sorry... just can't wait but will wash him again when he departs.
Marlee has been telling off Ali as she is simply a pain in the patootie and she is. When Marlee has had enough she lets her know. I think deep down she is laughing at her. I wonder if she did that at first with Sadie. Marlee has discovered the recliner. I think she tells time as she looks at us, looks at the tv room as if to say you know what time it is - don't you?
Chester fits in really well. He is really fond of Sage. It is truly an interesting relationship they have.
Oscar... hes my pal. Where I go, he goes. He lathers my face with kisses.
More tomorrow.
Not many clicks but here they are.
Dogs had a blast today as someone gave us dog cookies and we played find the cookie. We have a lot of smart visitors. Some didn't know the game but they caught on fast. I had a lot of grooming today so I only clicked a few. Still - we all managed to play. Me slowly but maybe that was better for the dogs. LOL
It was a summy, lovely day. It's getting cooler and rain. For shame.
Hugo, Holly, Tiny, Rusty, Ella and Teddy are celebrating 4 years of greatness. :-) Momma Roxie and Daddy Katsura wish you lots of treats today. Teddy is visiting and Ella lives here. They will be having extra special treats today! Here is a cute video of Hugo. Ir's an oldie but goodie. Last time we saw him he has hair again.
We have a no gallery day as we were away in Ottawa. Apologies. We are tired. Dennis was too busy to click anyone but the pups. Sorry. We will click tomorrow.
We departed at 5am and did a marathon drive in and back.
Dogs were really happy to see us. We are all very tired - Dennis included. More tomorrow!
In the morning we usually get some great play sessions. Sometimes one will participte or another and some just plain like to watch. It is always a good time and we start our day like this always.
Tomorrow the blog will be very late as we will be off in Ottawa. Dennis will try to get some videos and photos. If he doesn't, it will be very short blogs. LOL `
I am outside typing. A few dogs are laying on the furniture with me. The air has to be better than this but I am determined to get the last of the summer in before we are dealing with cold.
The 1st week of October we have the pool slated to close. I am not sure what day it is. They call the night before. We have a new cover that cost a fortune. We had it made in the states and they do not make the thickness here. That is crazy. We sent our cover down so they could cut it exactly the same. Lets hope it works. Have no idea what colour it is. It will be a surprise. Our last one was green but too many years of wildlife ripping it and us repairing. It could have worked for another year, I suppose but I do not take chances with the dogs.
Tonight we go to bed ay 9 and get up at 5pm. Showers tonight and hopefully sleep. It's going to be a long day for all, I suppose.
Off to lay in the pool to help this back before the sun goes down. It's 6pm and still very hot.
Yes we had a hot day. Soon those hot days will go but for now we appreciate each one. I am sitting outside again under the gazebo with the dogs with the netting closed otherwise we would have mosquito bites.
My garden looks like... but no one else here does it but me so till next year or till I feel better. I do not look forward to bringing in plants etc. Wanted to plant tulips but have not bought and no ability to plant so next year for that too. My back is trying to tell me it is not important.
Sherry brought two toys that rattle and 2 blankets. The pups warmed up with them and the older dogs tried to shake the toys to make them make noise.
As I am typing Ali is trying to beg me for chips. The adults just lay on the furniture and give you those soul-filled eyes longing for a spill. heh Tonight all the dogs had their treats. No one but the pups went swimming. We have a drive to Ottawa on Sunday starting at 5am so Nathan is resting up for it. LOL
We get back hopefully before bedtime.
The daughter in North Carolina I believe is okay. Good thing the hurricane was downgraded. Still they are dealing with no electricity and flooding in the houses. I was worried. I didn't sleep much especially when she was no longer responding to me.
Dogs played crazy games with Dennis today. They had tv time with Nathan and now they have blog time with me. We all make sure we have quality time with them. Life would not be worth it withut.
Wish I had clicked more photos. I am sure I didn't get everyone but fun they had. Sometimes I wish there were 2 of me - 1 to do and one to take photos. :-0
Teddy looks funny here with one eye partially covered. He is such a handsome guy. He sniffs the pups and touches noses. He is a riot.
Everyone got combed out early today. I figure I had to get it done so I could rest this back then Nathan got iritis again and so did our son Jon and well that left me doing. It's going to be a miracle if I survive Ottawa at this rate. We will figure it out as it is important to see dad.
I am doing the blog outside with the screen closed to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Ella loves sitting and watching. Warmish weather is still here. I told Dennis the dogs and I will be on the deck through October. He thinks we are nuts. I will just get the dogs to snuggle with me and keep me warm. hahahaha Besides that is what socks (need to get some) and blankets are for.
We may stay out here till bedtime.
Some are in with Nathan watching tv. Me, I have my crew. All is right with the world mostly especially with the dogs.
Dogs enjoyed the cool but warm day. I think they like to laze in the coolish sun and catch the rays.
Pippin, Daisy, Elvis and Teddy are having a grand time. Today I think we had a lot of ah this weather is good moments.
This is Lexi and Ella playing. Lexi still treats Ella like a mom even though Cinnamon is her mom and Ella treats her like her baby. Cinnamon also does the same. It's a riot. When you share you end up with a bonus canine mom.
Lexi departs tonight. Molly and Ringo also departed. It was great to have them here. The dogs played and played today.
Me, I need to relax, ice the back and snuggle dogs.
Yep, it's raining. No fun outside so we must play inside. Besides that human combed us all up and each time we went outside we were a mess.
Let the dry come back tomorrow, please!
Magic was here for a spa day. How did the 6 years go by so fast?
Happy 6th birthday, Tangles, Magic, Joey and Finn!
L'Shana Tova to all that celebrate the high holidays. Here is Magic prepping for her birthday celebration. She came for a bath and trim but her mom didn't realize I pulled out my back. So, I had Dennis lift her. I can't have her not be looking good for the birthday.
The dogs were truly enjoying this cooler weather. It was a busy day. We had relatives over. We ate well. The back is screaming but we are dealing.
Bria departed. I am blogging. Dogs got a ton of snuggles. It was nice!
