Few Photos

Back is still screaming and today worse as I groomed all day. Do you know how many ways you twist when a dog moves? I didn't till today. This is Katie. Her momma Ruth is home now so we delivered her home.  Katie has been here for quite sometime. That means Ruth has been dealing with hospitals etc for quite sometime. We wish her the best in her recovery.

As my back was not happy today, I stayed in the car but Nathan tells me Katie and Ruth was happy with the reunion. I am glad.

Gracie was here for the day. Teddy departed - another Teddy arrived. Pippin is here and well what hugs he gives - oh my. It's nice.

Cool Day

I still took photos where I could. Dennis also did. Now that nathan is up (he had a headache and was laying down) it's my turn. Hope you understand.

Short Blog Today

I have a short blog as I spent the morning at the doctors then to xrays and then to decompression and a mini massage just of the area. I was better after I left after the massage but I need another one now. 

I am not supposed to lift. I am to sit on a chair and groom with ice packs for 7 to 10 days. That's going to be fun. He feels I must have twisted quickly the wrong way and my lower back area is really swollen and my leg gets numb. I have to ice pack it as much as I can. Enough about me. I have a bunch of dogs to do so I hace to get over it. 

The puppies LOVE, LOVE, LOVE running and the dogs had fun saying hello to Leti puppies. There are adorable photos in the gallery on the Letu blog. Of course they are too young to play but they did get to kiss through the bars.

Pippin arrived tonight. I can't believe how very fast Ali and Sky's running has become.

Nathan went to class without me. I couldn't go as those stairs would be way too much. I wanted to but I want this back healed. 

Extremely Steamy

Katie, Ringo, TenshiYou can't blame them for playing indoors. Yes, they have been outdoors quite a bit. We hosed the ground to cool it off. It felt like 43c today and at this moment it is 33c without the feel like temp. With the feel like temps it is 41c as I type.

They love, love, love the tv room as its a cool room.

They say temps are taking a dive tonight to pants weather. Got to love it. Nathan said can we close the pool now? I said not yet. Kat, Roxie and Ella went swimming. I semi brushed out Kat and realized my back is very unhappy so Nathan brushed out the wet dogs. If I am still in this shape tomorrow I am going to get it checked. Walking seems to help but bending or twisting not so much. LOL I do have a back brace acquired today.  Ice packs in bed tonight. I need to be better as doing Chloe, Fenton and Cali was a miracle. 

Chloe departs anytime now. She had a blast. Cali and Fenton also go tonight. <sigh> We have had grand fun with these guys!

Amy and Tenshi comes for the day and Pippin is visiting us starting tomorrow. 

Class - tomorrow night. I am hoping I can go but we shall see.

Happy 1st Birthday Yesterday!: 2 Updates Today

Hi Nathan and Darlah,

We have been celebrating Bria’s first birthday all weekend long.

Thank you for choosing us to be her forever family. She is so affectionate and playful - our lives are so much better with her in it.

Every morning without fail, Bria showers us with tons of kisses and then immediately rolls onto her back for a belly rub.

She does this FOUR times every day and she’s not afraid to let us know when we forget this ritual. We get an earful from Bria!! :)

Here’s a photo of her with her party hat on.  She was trying her best to fling it off her head until we put the cookie down on the table to distract her.

I am Back

No one went in the pool except Dallas and Willow floated around while I was in the pool.

It was so very hot and muggy today. Dogs said inside but we managed to do the outside in pockets of time. Nathan is already asked me about closing the pool. I said ask me NEXT week please. I am not ready.

We had a long day yesterday and for some reason my back is not happy. I do not usually have issues with my lower back buy oh boy starting at 4am I have. So grooming is not fun as standing seems to aggravate it.

Dad weighs 100lb. He told us stories and we had a good visit. Today - not so good. <sigh>

We had a visit with Dallas for the day. Ozzie departed. Chloe - Cinnamon's gal is here for a few days. Murphy is here till tomorrow. she so needs a bath so I am going to try. Goldie departed. Cali and Fenton are having a blast and so is Teddy. Frannie always has fun. Katie is still here and Ruth is still working on getting home. 

Soon everyone heads back to school and we get quiet. 

But me - I think I need a back brace and Shoppers was closed. Tomorrow if it still hurts like this. Still managed to lay in pool and sit with pups outside.

Play Time

It's always playtime here and when it's not, it is time to....

It was quite the day today. It started out cloudy and ended up sunny as ever. 

Tomorrow will be a no gallery day as I will be on my way to Ottawa at 6am. It means I have 1 dog to do before then that will be departing on Sunday. LOL

I won't miss a day to update but it's going to be super short. Sorry...  I think tomorrow will be a long emotional day and getting home around 9 to 10pm the last thing I will have time for is blogging.

The dogs love the cushions. They play games knocking them every which way. Cody departed today. He is missed already. 

The dogs had ground veal tonight and ate in what I term FAST. We serve chicken with the kibble in the morning and something cooked ingredients like veal, turkey, bacon, hamburger etc Night time is always their fave meal as it is warm and just cooked. Chicken is cold and ground up. 

Dogs are playing like crazy as I type out in the grass. I just got up to peek after hearing all the noise. Nathan is iut with them as he is after dinner riling them up and having fun!

Warmish Day - Fun Day

I slowly got all the dogs combed out. It was a relax feel and when I looked at the first - I went did I really brush you?

I did get in the pool but all the dogs kept talking to me. It was an experience - I tell you. They make me laugh. It didn't feel warm enough to swim but I had to. Even 10 minutes. Lets hope tomorrow is hot but I have a ton of grooming before I can go to Ottawa on Sunday. The daughter wants to leave at 7am so that means I get one dog done at 5am. Do you think she will let me sleep in the car - nah.

Cali and Fenton are visiting. Who remembers Cali? 

Brr Cold and Visitors

Spirit is not 100% but she is feeling better. I think her mouth hurts as she won't eat. That will pass.

Today, Chloe, Cinnamon's baby - Ali's sister arrived for a day of play and to say Cinnamon and Ella was thrilled would be an understatement. Ali and Sky was also thrilled. She is going home tonight one tired girl. :-)

Today it only got up to 15c. It was mighty chilly. I put socks on - sigh and realized I need to buy socks before the real fall comes. LOL Warm weather is coming back - thankfully!

The dogs are LOVING this cool weather. Me, not so much. I did managed to play with the dogs and enjoy the Chloe. 

It's been a cool day - a tease of things to come, I am sure. I dread it. I so like summer and all it brings.

What a Day

Short Blog.... Teddy and Frannie arrived! Trigger and Levon departed - much missed!

Inula went in for a spay and is rather out of it. Kat went in for his teeth cleaning - first one in his whole life. Bloodwork was excellent. But he seemed to have an issue with the anesthesia and his heart almost stopped twice. When asked why she said most likely his age and the way he metabolized the anesthesia. She said I will not put him under again. He's too old. She was visibly upset. We were as well but he seems to have worked through the anesthesia completely. Spirit had baby teeth removed that was being stubborn. Both Inula and Spirit are out of it and sleeping with Nathan. Kat is with me. My focus needs to be with them so - yep short blog. 

Dennis said everyone had fun. I am glad as we have been gone all day. We did get to see our friend's new house while we waited for the dogs.

Glad Kat made it through. Even very healthy I will not put a dog under at his age again. sigh

Two Updates Today

Nathan was handing out treats to everyone today. In order of Tenshi's 2nd birthday she shared some treats with everyone. The best part is no one was pushy or trying to grab the treats from each other. They all behaved. It was nice.

It was so hot out today. It was down right sticky, sweaty weather. Dennis went in the pool and Willow, Sage and Ella all went in. Roxie thought about it. Kat thought about it but I had just washed him and I gave him the evil eye. LOL I tried to get Katie, Levon and Trigger to go in and they would have none of it. No one else wanted to go in and I was game to get everyone in despite having to wash everyone but they must have felt sorry for me and decided not today.

Spirit had a bath. She is a Leti puppy and is gorgeous - well I think so. Our vet does too. He kept starting at her saying wow what a beautiful dog - her face is so cute. I think he said it 10 times. 

Tomorrow we will have short blogs as we are at the vets tomorrow. Inula is getting spayed. Kat is getting his teeth cleaned. It will be a long day due to Inula. We won't be back till night and we depart at 6am. LOL

Then on Sunday I am gone all day long. I head into Ottawa to see my father-in-law. I will have a short blog that day that I may create the night before. I am still trying to figure it out. Nathan, Dennis and Jon will be here taking care of things.

Poor Chester is spending his day with kennel cough. Poor guy. It is a doggie flu and he will build up immunities to this strain. The both times we have had it we unfortunately got it from a vaccinated dog. There are just too many strains. Unfortunately it is contagious. So he will be skipping this visit with us. 

Ty, Trigger and Levon depart tomorrow and the Frannie arrives. Trigger and Levon has had a truly fun visit. Levon and his recliner. You know guys and their chairs. LOL

Rainy and Muggy

We close up the area when it rains and the dogs that hate to get wet can still go outside and not get wet. LOL

Ali and Sky had baths today. They go to the vets tomorrow and I will let you know how much they weigh.

No one went swimming today - human or dog. The weather just didn't cooperate.

We did play. We did have fun. Ali and Tenshi have a thing for each other. 

Levon has started to try to steal Triggers toppers - like ground beef etc heh 

Hot, Muggy

I had a lot on my plate today so I only took a few photos. We did invite the dogs into swim but only Ella and Kat wanted to come in. Kat decided to roll in the dirt after the pool so it took me a bit to get him clean. LOL

I had a lot of grooming and had to go out to get a present for someone. 

It rains the dogs want to stay inside. It gets too steamy they want the air. I have to laugh. Yes. they go out but they don't want to stay out for any length of time. Tomorrow rain again. Have to laugh. 

Short blog but there's only 45 minutes till bed time. That means not much time to play before we head upstairs and snuggle. I need longer days. 

Rainy Miserable Day

Didn't click anyone playing inside but played they did. It's been raining a good part of the day. The dogs I groomed couldn't be let out. Bria departed and I missed her parents.

You see my pvr died and they tell me it is a rent to own and out of warranty so we were told to go to the nearest Rogers store that was supposed to be open till 6pm. It was closed. So here I sit with no tv and a dead pvr till Monday. Netflix and Amazon, I suppose - as if I had the time. 

Brewski is laying in an oh so comfie position in the tv room. I heated up the blankets and they cuddled right in. I guess they enjoy comforts too and I so enjoy watching them enjoy.

The dogs are itching to go out and we now have a window of no rain. let's see how long that lasts.

Best Seat in House

Rusty was hanging out on top of Nathan while he was in the backyard. It's one of the comfiest spots out back. I just love his personality. He's such a love, squasher. hahahaha If you have a lap, he has a place.

I got to go to Vaughan Mills Mall with Sherrie today. It's been forever since I shopped never mind went to Vaughan to shop. We drove down 16th and so many changes since the last time - years ago, I think. 

Sales were abundant. Found a new store I love thanks to Lynda Tam. I need to check it out at Hillcrest. Now to wear these clothes no one will see as when do I go out. LOL

No one got brushed today as I was out except Rusty, who went home - he had a bath, trim etc and I finished him when I went home, Ty and Amy. Tomorrow I play catchup. Nathan brushed out just Inula. :-) 

Shoshi has seborrheic dermatitis. When you get old sometimes it occurs so now I have to wash her - get this every 2 days during the day and let her air dry. It essentially is dandruff. She has no underlying issues so this should take care of it. Her ears are greasy and her body is dry. So I need a degreaser for her ears and a different shampoo for the body. I start this regiment tomorrow. Our vet feels it will only take 2 to 3 weeks to help eliminate. She's not itchy - just has dandruff and oily ears. Glad it is still summer as you can't use dryers. I can use warm rooms and warm towels. She is getting old. 

Pups are doing amazing. Ali is bold. Sky is getting there with exposures. Ali tried to steal Sky's food. Today she finally said ENOUGH. 

We had a lot of Mabel fun today. We tried feeding Ali, Sky, Bria, Mabel, Willow and Sage in thsi new feeding system. It was comical. We have a video up. The goal is to use it on the Leti pups when they are old enough.

Levon has found he is empowered. I have to laugh. He is proactive about his chair, his bed, his food and well Trigger - that's mine too. But Trigger says - no. You can tell they have this sibling love thing going on.

Tomorrow Bria and Charlie depart - sniff. Holly and Rosie come for the day. Shlomo comes for overnight.

Late But an Excuse

We almost forgot about class but green feet and all we made it. It's been a crazy day. Our son Jon mowed the lawn at my insistence and all the pups ended up with green hair. Oh my.

Rain and Clear Breaks

We had rain all morning then rain off and on. The dogs rolled in the grass and got soaked. I am late updating the blogs due to cleaning yo the dogs. Tomorrow sun - hooray. 

Nathan had wet fun at the show. I had fun here. I groomed most of the day literally. I am tired. hahahahaha

My PVR erased all my programs - joy. Guess that's the way to get to 0% shows.

I want to go to bed.
