Muddy and Cold

This is how you get dirty 10 minutes before you are picked up. Dennis can't help himself. He says the dogs must enjoy even if you just washed them.It wasn't these two but everyone cause - why not!

You should have seen Kally before her wash and groom. Oh - you will in the gallery. What a personality along with Jersey. One looking like they just ran through the wringer and the other laughing her head off. The house is emptying. The mud is wet out back. Each year I think riverstones and it never happens. It's only me washing and washing again so silly of me not to do it. Remind me in spring, please.

I have to say the dogs have an outstanding time.

Dennis is blowing leaves. You see pool closing is booked till November. It will be our latest date. Sometime this winter I will buy a new chlorinator as it will be on sale in the dead of the winter. Our gas line will probably go underground next year. Just too costly and getting too late in the season. Our plants are all in - well the ones that we are saving. Call me nuts but I feel bad for those that will die. It is what it is. I replanted pots before coming indoors. This cold is brrr... I hate cold but we shut off our air and do not have the heat on yet. We won't need it till pups arrive. Lots to get ready.

Some of the dogs that visit saddle up to Dennis. He sneaks them treats for the ones that can have and he plays their most fave game running around like a crazy guy while they run after him. They so love it. You should try. He says he always feels good after it for many reasons.

Cold and Getting Ready

I washed Misty and Sage today along with a number of other dogs.

As I was transplanting plants to bring inside, Misty took her face and shoved it in the soil. I didn't know what to do - laugh or go oh my gad! What did you do? Well Misty's pups are characters. Now we know where they get it from.

Come Tuesday night we will be quiet again. Many depart tomorrow.

Dennis got the plants that are coming inside in and the rest we are letting go.

I did upload a video of Sage, Jersey and Coco. Jersey was hysterical saying hello to Sage.

It's already 8pm. How did that happen?

Really going to miss the gang here. they have been so much fun. It was great to celebrate a birthday with Benny. Magical!

Mighty Wet

I had a full day of grooming and someone asked if I take the dogs outside. I almost laughed. Unless it is pouring, they are playing outside in and out all day long. We do silly things like the chase game that mostly Dennis does. We do a game of hide and seek but not all get it till the some that do get it. Does that make sense?

During tv time, on the big birthday this week, I filled up treat balls and each had their own. They were exceedingly happy.

A few videos are up today. Wish Nathan took more but he doesn't carry the phone around all the time and he has improved on his video taking skills.

Weather was mighty wet last night and this morning. I had dogs that I groomed and Dennis let them out. I actually had to do 2 dogs twice. I am so laughing. Now the sun is outside and they are saying time to eat guys. No, not yet - usually 430.

Sun is out and not a soul wants to go out but after dinner.

We have a full house this weekend. By Tuesday it will be mighty quiet. We had a new dog today and he was absolutely grand - kissy kissy even while grooming. It makes your heart swell, I swear - well me it does when you groom and they kiss you so you have to kiss and snuggle them back. You can't get a better day than that!

Ms Amy is departing now. Can't wait till snuggle bed time. LOL

Soon Vivi will be departing. She is a firecracker. Will she sleep on her way home or not?

Rain is Coming

Here is the gallery. I still have a fair amount of flowers growing in the garden but rain and cold is coming so that won't last.Dogs saw damp this morning when we woke up and went...nah let's go back in.

The dogs are playing like crazy. Frannie arrived. Rusty and Luna too but they have departed. Okay the rain has arrived as I type so fat chance getting them out in this. lol

Maybe it is time to watch tv?

I need to get Nathan motivated in finishing his office. Dennis and I will have to do the plants and we need to close the pool. Fun stuff and all. Dogs will enjoy the pool cover on as its safe enough for them to be on it and the humans all at the same time.

Another year of me saying maybe time for a snowblower and another year of Nathan saying but we have Dennis. Anyone have a used one they are selling? LOL

Vivi comes tomorrow and by Monday most everyone departs.

Two Updates Today

It is hard to believe that it is such a nice Fall day. I have a friend in Salt Lake and it snowed today. Wow...

Tomorrow Frannie, Rusty and Luna come. Lina and Rebel are in class together. I wish I could watch. Oh well...

Sprinklers will be blown out tomorrow. Now for the pool. Getting ready for that white stuff is not fun. Hope you are surviving the experience.

This is my blog. Will I update it? Not sure but all the dogs are great. Me, I am iff today. Nathan washed Rebel himself after I combed her out last night for class tonight with Ronnie and Luna. I am out having dinner on a patio with Sherry so depending how much I partake, this may be it or maybe not. LOL But I never miss a day so ...

Fall Lazing

Nothing like inbetween weather to get those socks on and laze outside. Okay the dogs don't have socks on. Silly me.

Mt. Tchibo, Barney and soon Ellie departs today. Ms Willow and Winston arrived. Willow departs soon.

Wish I had property to have an outdoor fire but how can you do that with dogs? Gladly have the dogs vs a bonfire but with cold feet at the moment - the bonfire sounds fun.

The dogs are chipmunk hunting. It's strange as the squirrels far outnumber the chipmunks but they leave the squirrels alone. hmmm

We need to figure out a pool company to close. We so dislike the service from the existing one and this the reason for the delay. Nathan is so loyal. But even he is saying not again with these guys. So, we are on the hunt.

Got to see the grand daughters today. Dani moved out to Cobourne and she came to get my ice maker as she so loves her ice like me. I can't believe she is old enough to move out.

Dennis is going to do a mad chase game today which the dogs love. It chases the willies out or so they say. Turkey will be added to their dinner. They like holiday meals too.

As I type they are making noises to go back out. It's time. They do love to have fun and I so love when they do.

Thanksgiving and Celebrations: Gallery Added

This is Thanksgiving. We wish everyone a day of fun or rest - depending on how you view the holiday. I am grooming in a few minutes and did get up early to stuff a turkey and put it in the oven to get it made in time so Nathan can get his nap in. Yes, I am laughing but it is what it is.

I may or may not post a blog tonight but most likely I will add to this one as we had so many yesterday and we have the addition of Watson below.

The dogs will have leftover turkey tonight. They were watching me prepare it. All eyes were on me.

It is Dennis day off.

Thank you to Dorothy for yummy pumpkin pie and cookies from Sherri! plus tiramisu from Nava's mom. I am stuffed. We had a great day. The turkey was moist and good but not my usual and it cooked fast. I think I am used to a larger turkey. Not much leftovers but the dogs got their treats tonight with dinner. They are charmed and keep following me around in case I give them more. LOL

We heard from Ruth. She is still in hospital. They told her today she has covid - this on top of dialysis. Poor thing. They do not know what is wrong with her still. Katie is enjoying her time here. Glad Katie has here. Not sure what people do when by themselves with a dog under these circumstances. I hope all our dog people know we are there for them. We are ALWAYS there for you.

Happy 1st: Cinnamon Crew

Hello Darlah and Nathan,

I wanted to send you a photo of Juno, now 1!  She’s an amazing pup who makes the whole family smile. My kids have said that they can’t imagine their world without her, and neither can I.  She greets everyone she meets and is an all around happy girl. She has done well in two puppy classes, and is also novice tricks certified. She waves goodbye and is a champion at giving high fives. 

She is happy and full of energy and love. 

And, her eyebrows rock!

Nathan still could not find a Butterball Turkey so he broke down and got a fresh turkey that I will cook tomorrow. I need to cook it first thing in the morning so I can send home a plate to someone who said she hasn't had a thanksgiving meal for years. She's coming tomorrow to drop off her havanese. He didn't get a large one but good enough. Hopefully it will come out well.

Tenshi and Jersey is going home early - tonight. Logan, Panda, Coco the maltese is here for the day.

It's wet outside so dogs that hate to go out keep filling the pads that we change and change. LOL

I tried to do dog tags with resin and how long does it take to dry under lights. Oh boy maybe not the best choice.

When it is rainy or wet outside I do believe TV time is mist enjoyable. They get lazy and want to chill like us humans. They are still playing as you will see in a few videos we posted but chilling is the name of the game. Tomorrow turkey gets added to their meals. Yum!

Wet Again Thanksgiving Weekend

It's wet out again. In celebration of Stone's birthday, he shared his treats. Really, the dogs are fine with it as long as everyone gets one.

Dogs are mostly staying indoors as its wet outside but when they did go out, Dennis clicked.

Levon and Trigger has departed and I swear Hallie is sulking.

Oh the dogs and the newcomers are so enjoying each other. They are looking for more treats.

Start of the Holiday

Cosmo just arrived and he is already playing with Opus. Mr. Brewer is visiting - rather special when he does. Ms Harlow thinks feeding time is at 4pm vs 430 as Dennis fed at that time a few days ago and she tells time.

Told Nathan to get a turkey. He says no butterballs but he also said no BBQ chips. Instead he brought home BBQ corn chips. Oh boy. Someone said they were ordering from Swiss Chalet. I went up on their site and NO PRICES. Really - that was a futile attempt and its chicken - I know but maybe next best thing? At least it comes with pumpkin pie and gravy? Not mine but... Thinking I need to take over shopping and Nathan needs to take over grooming. yeah... Now that is hysterical.

Levon, Trigger and Murphy boy departs tomorrow. Bailey, Jersey, Kally and Murphy gal is coming. It's a truly outstanding group and are so pleased to see Levon playing his fool head off even with the gals. This duo - longtime coming but so delightful to reunite even if for a short period of time. So lucky when we get to see those we haven't for a long time due to covid. Thank you families for adding to our joy!

Wet Lazing

Some dogs do not care if their undersides get wet and some do a dance in wet grass. Which type do you have? Each dog has a unique personality and to be honest, I have had a number of breeds in our lives since I was born but there is nothing like the havanese. If I am feeling bad, they are right there without any expectations. All they want is you. LOL

Dogs had a good day. I still have one more dog to do. Ms Coco Spirit's pup is here till this evening. So is Mr. Ripley. Love is still in the air with you know who. Can you hear your human mom - give it a rest but Hallie doesn't care. Ms Coco the Maltese was here and she is so fun. She is now home. Tchibo and Barney spent a fair bit of time trying to root out a chipmunk. They were fascinated. Tomorrow Bailey, Tenshi and Cosmo come.

I want to wish everyone a fine Thanksgiving holiday. Our family is dropping their dogs off here so they can go do their thing. I said bring me leftovers and she said oh mom we are not doing that. Well, no one cooks a turkey like me. We are working but that's okay too. I get to spend the time with their dogs. Yes, laughing...

Now off to groom...

The Play Of It

The running joke is - been too long so my brain is foggy - is that Trigger is a play monkey and Levon is not. But its not so here if I have that right. Let me just say Trigger is Romeo - yeah that is right!

I am doing the blog early. It's my day off. Nathan is taking his usual nap with the dogs. Dennis and I want the next edition of Foundations to come out. What a cliff hanger. I am so enjoying that show.

I am doing a side business for dog bags (loot bags filled with goodies) for breeders. That is what all these crazy classes are about. I am doing another one on sublimation. I think I have etching down on metal and acrylic. I am learning and I always enjoy learning. HTV and vinyl - easy now.

Soon the dogs will be helping us take our plants in. We do that yearly to save buying new the next year and you get mature plants that way. It takes work as I don't want bugs inside so we change out the soil and one by one they come in. Not all - but most pots.

Another fun time is raking leaves. The dogs always jump through that and it makes for wonderful photos. I look forward to that and yes even to snow even though Nathan REFUSES to get a snowblower. He has this idea that its good for the body. I am so laughing.

Dogs have been having a great amount of fun today.

I am cooking a roast  and guess who gets leftovers?
